My first version of Cubase was still on floppy disk :D
Yeah, I remember Cubase 3.x for ATARI when I used both, C-Lab/Emagic Notator SL and Cubase.
Outstanding MIDI features still today,- and great MIDI timing !

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

... DANTE, ... It's not for (single room) home studio at all. For start there's no A/D. At a 1st glance, I´ve found that Yamaha DM3 https://www.thomann.de/de/yamaha_dm3.htm being interesting for a smaller setup and then w/ DANTE virtual soundcard on the DAW machine. But I didn´t want the investment...

Re: Vocoder vst recommendations

And Reason became also crap since it´s not Propellerhead anymore. I´m still using v10.4 (w/ Rewire) and 11.6 and won´t upgrade,- it´s not worth the cash since their VST3 piece of s##t Reason Rack Plugin never replaced Rewire. RRP works great here in Luna (Mac) and now Windows. The only bit that doe...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

Holger ... The guy is a genius but Scope never recovered from 64bit transition. Interesting point of view. In fact, SCOPE works great in 32Bit and there were no reason for 64Bit other than adressing more memory,- WHEN using SCOPE "standalone". Unfortunately, SCOPE 7 32Bit suffers from a f...

Re: Vocoder vst recommendations

Waves plugins are cheap and great sounding but the catch is Waves Central and WUP. I am personally willing to accept those things but i know everyone is not. Thx for mentioning WUP ! That´s why I hate WAVES as a company per sé. I don´t buy anything again since they rendered my Waves Renaissance Spe...

Re: Solaris v5_0 - blue screen of death

You can dream ! Every user has different demands. Problem or advantage ? Scope, as a standalone system, works very well in 32Bit. It ALSO works in 64Bit, but not every device coming from the past, especially not 3rd party from the past or when former coders of ancient devices leaved the boat already...

Scope standalone only,- or do ASIO and WAVE drivers work w/ Win 11 Pro x64 work too ?
Up to now, I avoided Win 11 for Scope because of the wait for the new driver.

Re: Solaris v5_0 - blue screen of death

"the sample OSCs in Solaris do not work in 64bit windows." Thus, Solaris does not work (practically) period. :D Just as the samplers, and anything (still) using 32 code in a 64 bit architecture Gary. And that is not the fault of the Solaris Developer btw... who also can't fix this, becaus...

Re: A question about STS

"KBParam3" exists as .sys file in the 32Bit files Gary mentions above. VxD not necessary anymore,- I just backupped these as also the ones originally delivered w/ John Bowen/ZARG synth installation files. I deleted all .VxD and ARIALN.TTF files from my Scope v7 32Bit PCI installation. So,-...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

This is more about 64bit addressing with newer portaudio apps & DAWs etc. Xite at the very least could use current support, as it simplifies post sales support and returns. PCI users are expecting something too though, and have already bought an update with the hopes of seeing it soon via suppo...

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!

Holger has his hands full with life and his theatrical sound business, so having someone who can handle 64bit drivers attend to the issue would move things along. Well,- by whatever reason the new Win10/11 driver is unable to come,- it´s sad it is. I don´t need a new SCOPE version incl. new devices...

I would love to help him find someone who knows how to port drivers to 64bit...certainly more than someone to help him clean up that web dev's overlooked mess. Well, as an example,- NI has extreme problems w/ their Native Access and MTKdeamon updates and doing the splits between Win 10, Win 11 as a...
