Re: Windows 11

Re: 1 WEEK SPRING 'N' SCOPE OFFER INCLUDING SCOPE BETA 8!
Once, I signed up for the beta test team,- but up today this driver never became public beta.
So,- no new driver up to now and I´ve never seen a beta version.
I´d highly appreciate a new driver for Win 11 x64 !

Re: scope doesnt startup after windows 10 upgrade
I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to 10. Now I dont get any sound because Scope/startup project isnt loaded, the speaker icon in the taskbar is crossed out. ... PS: it is scope 7, registry entry in run exists, it seems windows could'nt load scope.exe -s as background process. IIRC, this is a we...

My Lenovo W540 and 541 workstation laptops,- running Win10 and 11 Pro x64,- both use iGPU of Intel i7 mobile quad (Haswell) and a dedicated graphics card in harmony.

Re: New MPE MIDI Controller from Aodyo
Thx,- this is interesting ´cause, like their other products, it will be available from Thomann (reseller) sooner or later. I´d wish there came a 4-octave version ! For Scope, don´t expect too much developement progress a.t.m.. I´m urgently waiting for their fully working Win 10/11 ASIO driver alone ...

Re: Luna2 + Pulsar2 + A16 Ultra + Apogee Mini-Me, master/slave
I was hoping that the A16 could take sync down both Z-link and ADAT, as it's ultimately the same source! I didn´t say it´s impossible, instead just only cannot imagine. No need to try up to now and sice using a BNC master clock device. So, you´re the one,- and please post the result here. :) Bud

Re: Luna2 + Pulsar2 + A16 Ultra + Apogee Mini-Me, master/slave
I wonder, would it be possible to use one z-link (->Luna2) and one ADAT (->Pulsar2) connection on the A16U to use its 16 channels? This would then leave one ADAT connection on my Pulsar2 left, and another 8 channels available if I bought an UltraGain or something? And then ? - A16U is synced to wha...

Re: Luna2 + Pulsar2 + A16 Ultra + Apogee Mini-Me, master/slave
I have a system containing a Luna2 and Pulsar2 connected via STDM, with and A16Ultra connected via ADAT, giving me 16+2+2 channels. I've been offered an Apogee Mini-Me (2003), which is a Mic preamp and ADC with spdif out. I would like to use this with one of the SPDIF ins on the Scope cards to give...

Should work w/ any laptop offering at least 1 true (up to 40GB/sec) Thunderbolt port.
Not cheap,- but might be interesting for XITE-1 users.

That said when there is work on a product then most probably there is value so they are sample libraries and samplers that are interesting sound creation machines. True. Re: STS bad MIDI timing...
Nice way of working Bud thank you ! I don't use a sampler but I use the daw as a sampler. Well,- that´s what a DAW is when recording or rendering VST/AU devices to audio. And yes, I also use NI Kontakt and Reason,- both can sample,- but I rarely do. Today´s count of sample library offerings is over...

Re: STS bad MIDI timing...
I still can't achieve more than 35 voices on STS5K without having the async error message. Better than nothing ! In opposite to STS-3K, STS-5K uses the host´s CPU ressources much more,- at least because of realtime time streching abilities ! Anyway ... real AKAI S-1000 and S-1100 offer 16 vo...

STS samplers ...Bud, what were the capabilities of your system in terms of max achievable polyphony with several STS instances loaded ? No idea. I don´t use several instances. I´m not "that samples guy" anyway and use the SCOPE synths as also all my hardware much more. For playing back AK...

... STS Samplers ... If Scope is primarily a sampling workstation for you, it is likely best to use it as you would an outboard sampler and tie it to a separate machine hosting your heavy DAW projects to keep MIDI tight. ^^^^^ THIS ! My former DAW rackmount, 32Bit Win XP (or Win 7) Pro, Intel Penti...

Re: XITE as an upgrade path for PCI owners
Quick question as I still want to start using my XITE-1 that has been sitting in a box for 10 years, but scared of all the IT and build-your-own-PC postings. A recent post by Valis mentioned using a Thunderbolt-to-PCIe box. So, will this work? If I use a modern PC with thunderbolt, and connect it t...

Scope 4.5 devices, also optional ones, work w/ v4.0 keys.MojaMonkey wrote: ↑Tue Feb 20, 2024 3:31 am Thanks so much!
Yes I do have the keyfiles, I just found them!
Will a Scope 4.0 keyfile work for scope 4.5?
I dunno if you will need a v4.5 key for SCOPE application itself.
IIR,- i guess not,- but I´m not sure.
