Re: RIP Eddie Van Halen and Johnny Nash!

Here's hoping he was buried with the Frankenstrat by his side. frankenstrat.jpg That would be Rock & Roll ! And OBXa, Prophet VS, DX7, TX816, D50 and releated MIDI gear (like Roland MC500 sequencer) in addition. Eddie was a classical trained piano player before he choosed the guitar for his 2nd ins...

Re: 10 bit midi in scope?

The problem is that the minilogue xd outputs 10 bit midi data, and scope only reads 7 bit midi data. I´m not sure about if this is a problem at all. If it were, it would render mionilogue xd as unsusable when it comes to MIDI because MOST MIDI devices deal w/ 7-Bit MIDI. 14Bit MIDI resolution exist...

Re: Installing SCOPE 7 on X64 O/S

This 64Bit "Issue" is somewhat weird. With modular, at least one Flexor patch being selected from preset list, crashed my system (Win7 Pro x64 / SCOPE/XITE v7.0) w/ BSOD. Can´t remember which, but it did. Since then, I avoid loading Flexor patches from preset list because I never know which modules ...

yes, whatever optional plugins that you have can get updated keys for v5/v7, they will be for the same serial number that they were originally for.
Thank you, Gary,-
that´s good news !

Re: What is better in scope 7 vs 4.5?

sts works in v7 32bit, but you need the v5.1 files. write support. multicore processor? what does that have to do with Scope? orbitone keys? write support. Thank you ! I´ll come back to you/support soon. Yesterday I´ve found my missing keyfile for SCOPE 5.1 PCI. I´ll do that installation 1st, make ...

No cause of death has been announced yet for Eddie Van Halen but he had been recently suffering from throat cancer.
Cancer came back unfortunately !
Very sad,- so young.

Re: Solaris HW tabletop & 1U "19 rack versions

You don’t recognize an Emu device since you love their Z-plane filter ? LOL,- wanted to be sure. Yeah, it looks like a EMU device,- and I liked their UI for hardware-romplers,- making menue diving relatively simple. In addition, MIDI implementation was good and very functional always. But I doubt,-...

Where does that pic come from ?
Is it your vaporware mockup or is it real ?

No offense,- just asking.
I´d be interested in such device too.

Re: What is better in scope 7 vs 4.5?

v7 is required for Win10. if you have win7 or 8 and don't have v5.1, you need v7. if you have XP, v4.5 is more than fine. Isn´t SCOPE 5 / 5.1 the 1st w/ multi-core/processor support ? I used 5.1 w/ XP SP3 and a dual-core processor already. And ... didn´t v5/5.1 add more devices/plugins vs stock SCO...

I´m pretty sure most of you think different,- so please forgive ... My opinion,- music production today is for nuts. I don´t want clicks,- I want money ... lots of. I play and don´t need sequencers much or at all,- except for that s##t which isn´t keyboarder´s domain,- like drums p.ex.. I used all t...

THIS https://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=36188 Hate to keep harping about this, but use SR PRO as a Master preset list that changes and recalls everything. It’s a project preset list. No need for an entire new project? Good, keep the save devices and automate them like real hardware ...

Re: sequencers

Don’t have to be 4GHz just to overcome s sloppy Windows OS. WinE (Windows Emulator) which is usually used when it comes to Linux and plugins, is a wrapper and eats CPU cycles. It was a very long road for KORG making the Kronos halfway stable w/ the theoretical voice count of 200 max.. All NI plugin...

Now that Maschine+ works standalone (no computer needed) it might be worth a look. But apparently it wont run all the 3rd party content that can be used when you have it plugged into a computer. Hmmm ... Intel Atom quad 1.6GHz soldered on this ancient Intel industry board and running some Linux/Win...

Re: HP ProBook 4740s Notebook graphic card question

I had pops and clicks while using built-in graphic in my desktop computer, so i needed to add pci-e graphic card, then was ok. I use iGPU graphics for SCOPE/XITE x64 and native VST. No clicks or pops. Desktop computer, Z97, i74790k, 32GB RAM. In the past, Nvidia was king of the hill for audio DAW,-...

Is this normal that notebook have 2 graphic card installed.
So called "workstation" notebooks, using processors which come w/ iGPU anyway, come w/ a 2nd graphics card for the users needing high(er) end graphics.

Its a custom cut down version of his others. Hit the question mark and a text page covers the AUX channels to read MIDI CC's or whatever you need for as a reminder. EQ and Filters per channel, no inserts on AUX, no panning, etc. Just the meat & potatoes for me. Stripped down version sounds good. Wh...
