The more cores, the more computing time goes into synchronization of cores. So, there will always be some latency. Most (relative) gain was ...

THIS !

I love Vectron and improvements are welcome always.
I hope it doesn´t eat SAT connections for breakfast though.

New features and connectivity might need some in-depth explanation.
Can´t wait !

Re: Best Modular I Patches/Synths ever created - Homage 2020

Many (if not all) Modular I modules are here http://www.modularsynth.co.uk/downloads.shtml.

At least, you can use ´em in Modular II.
Actually no clue if they work in Mod III too.

Anyone ?

Re: Fastest Quad Is The Cheapest

Seems the Quad I was interested in is even better in the 10th Gen line up. I was just getting ready to grab a Quad i3 8350k but @CES this year talk of an even faster quad got my attention. I3 10350k More cache, base clock of 4.1GHz, IPC and single core scores show a 15-20% improvement over my 4790k...

Interesting !

Official S|C or just only your mod ?
It´s a former Creamware / S|C stock device ...
Isn´t it locked/ protected ?

As far as cookies go, the forums are set to use scopeusers.com for this and your session, and I see scopeusers.com & forums.scopeusers.com in my cookies. I'll turn it off for now... thank you ! Just a question ...

How can I get rid from the message "This website uses Cookoes ...." [Got it!] button ???
I can click on it as much as I can, but it comes back every time I visit this forum site.
Didn´t happen for a looooong time before.

Re: Could this be an OmniSphere slayer ?

Such promo for a Synthedit VSTi ??? :-? When made w/ SE,- it will NEVER be an Omnisphere slayer. Doesn´t mean it´s not possible to create usable plugins w/ SE,- but C++ and other languages are definitely a different league. I´d bet he bought CK modules which are the best to use instead the stock com...

Re: Win 7 and NVMe

NVMe M.2 are useful for sample loading like in Omnisphere. I put the STEAM Folder on a Samsung and can switch presets so the sample loads fast and you get to hear it immediately. On SSD the progress bar sometimes is still pulsating yellow when I switch from Rhodes to Clavinet, etc. But for Kontakt,...

Re: Win 7 and NVMe

I'd prefer Sata-SSD over NVMe. NVMe are faster - on spec paper, not in real life. PCIe 3.0/ 4.0 NVMe x4 IS much faster than SATA SSD in real life ! I only bought for NI Komplete 12 content and Kontakt sample streaming. Loading/exchanging drumkits in TT SD3 is very fast as well,- and those drumkits ...

Re: Win 7 and NVMe

Thankyou Valis and Dawman ! I got the hotfix kb2990941-v3-x64 file, but unfortunately not the other (3087873) for the case of "0x0000007E" Stop error,- so it´s still a bit risky,- and still leaves the question if hotfix and Samsung NVMe driver will work in harmony or make things worst when installed...

Win 7 and NVMe

Hi ! I need some help and put into off-topic because I´m not sure if it fits better into tech talk or not. It´s also not directly related to SCOPE,- just only to the machine and Win 7. Everything is set up correctly and I already use 2 500GB Samsung SATA SSDs (860 Pro & 850 EVO) as well as a 1TB Sam...

Re: Votes are in - 2020 best DAW - FL Studio wins again

Logic is good enough for most work a home user will find, but I see guys complaining all the time about what they miss from SIbelius or Finale :D Logic is excellent MIDI, coming the long way from C-Lab (later Emagic) Notator (SL). Old Emagic Logic Audio Gold w/ serial dongle and MacOS 9.x is an exc...

https://www.musicradar.com/news/the-best-daws-2020-the-best-music-production-software-for-pc-and-mac No surprises here - status quo with FL Studio #1. Good to see Presonus Studio One maturing to 2nd place - would be my next in line in if I wasn't so invested in Reason (7th) / Harrison (not even rat...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

I could fairly easy try to not use the power button for a while and see if it makes a difference. When there´s a powerswitch issue, mechanical and/or electrical, it doesn´t make a difference. The powerswitch is soldered to the XITE mainboard. On the pic I have, I recognize 3 soldering joints on the...

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

All power was gone from the unit for several seconds. No light in the power led, and I had to actively push the power button several times before it came back. Which makes me think it is internal in the unit (having ruled out the power supplies). I think it is either a bad capacitor, an internal lo...
