Have there been any functional changes in 5.1, up to RC2?
Personally I will be glad to just have it work in a stable and integrated way with 64 bit systems. I'm salivating towards that.
But any additional bug fixes or new features would be good too -- anyone know what's new?
Best,
Paul

Re: xite wordclock
Thanks for the reply Greg. No need to test, I have confirmation from SC that WC is not working and I must wait for a fix in the next software upgrade. Very unfortunate! Good thing I left my Pulsar cards in for now. CS Wow I thought I was mad with sc wordclock probes. Good to know a fix is available.

Re: Making use of the AES/EBU in
I know this sounds silly considering how long I've had my cards but to expand my number of audio ins I've been using a mixer so I've never really given the other potential ins and outs much attention. However I'm wondering if I could also use my AES/EBU in's too but have no idea how to hook them up...

Fanless 1U computer for XITE-1 PCIe card
Hi there, I think it's time to build a 1U, silent PC to host the XITE-1 PCIe card. I was going to buy from mini-ITX.com. Could anyone with experience suggest a system that would work? I'm looking at a zotac mobo, and one of the 1U cases at mini-ITX.com, and a horizontal PCI Express adapter. Key is: ...

Re: Review of X-ite 1? Coming back to Scope?
Yeah, I'm wondering if this has not been done because it's not technically possible, or just the software doesn't exist yet... It seems the VE Pro "nearly" does this, but obviously the main intention is for streaming the VI's, so I guess they've got no interest in implementing it... One o...

Re: Review of X-ite 1? Coming back to Scope?
OK that makes sense. Finish the 64 bit hard work re-write, then port to OS X. To reply to doktorfuture... The e-mail I got from Sonic Core was yesterday!! It said "we have to finish the 64 bit drivers first, then it may take 6 to 12 months for the OS X support" (paraphrase rather than an e...

Whew. They would be smarter to make that clear on their shop.Sounddesigner wrote:@ doktorfuture . If you don't live in the countries that VAT applies to it is not charged at checkout. When i order from Sonic Core's website VAT is always deducted and not charged.

Re: Review of X-ite 1? Coming back to Scope?
Wow, that sounds like a very cool rig! Just wondering firstly what is the VAT issue in terms of ordering from Sonic Core? It says on their site that plugins include some ungodly high 19% VAT. Usually when I buy online, I don't pay their local tax. I just buy tax free. I was a little disappointed to...

Hi guys, This thread is interesting. I'm a Mac guy who uses a PC just for The Xite-1. Re: Audio Pitch 2 Midi in Modular
I'm trying to get all you write below to work. The freq2note from Flexor seems to be good, but it outputs 'frequency', and the Wolf Audio2Note wants a pitch. Also the 'gate' output fro the freq2note isn't a pitch, and isn't what the Audio2note wants. I am using the gateOr between the Flexor and the ...

Audio Pitch 2 Midi in Modular
Hi there, Could anyone suggest/point me in the right direction on how to create a modular patch that: 1) takes Audio (mono or stereo) in 2) detects the fundamental frequency, velocity (based on amplitude), and gate 3) converts the frequency to a pitch 4) Outputs a MIDI note ON/OFF from the modular. ...

Re: Best way to use Minimax?
BTW the new Voyager MiniMoog isn't analog and doesn't sound any different in a mix. WHich means the ASB is cheaper, has more voices, but geez......it would sure be tough though not having all of those cool lights on the Voyager. ??? The Voyager is Analog. It has analog VCO's (not DCO's), VCF's, Ana...

USB Midi is like giving a real drummer a shot of JD followed by a pink wine cooler.
It's like a 'humanize' feature built in.

Re: 14 DSP -vs- 15 DSP system
Not related to this thread so much, but: I am happy that Sonic Core is entirely different from Creamware. I always thought Creamware was unstable financially, and I like what Sonic Core has done for the platform. When Modular IV came out, I figured this system would be worth it just for the modular ...

Re: ExpressCard arrived :-)
The dsp systems use memory that is attached to them, and no main system ram. This ram is often dedicated to each chip, which means that there is a max addressable amount of ram. This ram us used to hold the algorihms as well as buffers for things like delays, reverbs, and samples. All this stays on ...

Re: OSX - How do you think it will work?
I think it will be better on a mac overall. Audio on mac's is soooo much simpler, plus you can create virtual aggregate interfaces of several other interfaces. I hope also that the drivers will be all fresh and clean and will probably be easier to write. I've found OS X hardware drivers to be many t...

Re: the new STS
Kontakt is pretty amazing. But it's been years since I was really into it. It's just a bit 'static' for me and for sound design it's mainly positional glitching and reverbs/weird IR. The scripting is a start. I wish it was more standard, like ECMA javascript like you can use in MAX. I'd like to see ...
