hey gary,

i moved the video card to another slot and the problem is still there
they still share the same IRQ 16.

i cant move the scope card cause i have a X58UD7 MB and it only has 1 PCI slot.

any other suggestions mate?

OK, i found that my video card and scope card share the same IRQ 16.

can i change this? and what would i change it to?

oh one more question..........

excuse my ignorance but what the hell is ADAT and is it an interface that i can connect my mixer to to get audio into the scope card?


And, if i bought a sound card thats connected externally via USB or Firewire will it resolve any earthing or grounding issues? or do ...

ive tried the card in 3 different PC's and in 3 different premises and all have the noise issue, so i doubt that 3 different PC's would have the same problems, wheather it be graphics cards or power supplies etc.....

the P/supply i am using now is a very good 750W ...

before i give up on this card and buy something else, i wanted to see if anyone else has this issue or if it can be solved?.........

i have a pulsar I, 4 DSP PCI card, V5 scope OS
Win 7 32 bit & Cubase 5

ive got it worked out now and am using a bit of both.

i now have audio in and out working between cubase, ext equipment and audio played on PC.

another question:
ive taken BUS 1&2 on the STM mixer and connected it to the ASIO Dest...that obviously works, but is this the right way of doing it? does it matter if i use control ...

im trying to use scope 5 with cubase 5 , ive just updated both programs from previously using scope 3 and cubase CS3x.

i cant work out how to get the ASIO setup in scope and cubase, which means i cant get any signal from my ...

ok worked it out.....
had do disable MB sound card and then i got the option in scope properties to select SR

all good at 48k
no go at 96k but im happy with 48k

what do you guys use to play audio files in win7?
if its an issue with WMP what else would you recommend i use?

ive tried everything and no go, only plays audio at 44.1k SR

yeah i checked the analog properties, no advance tab or sample rate settings there

my scope 4.5 project consisted of the BigMixer where i had the asio in/outs, wave in/outs and pulsar analog in/outs connected and working great with cubase ...

WMP plays all files at 96k in Win XP
this problem is only occuring in Win7

pling - when i go into my sound properties i dont get an advanced tab in properties, only General & Levels

i havent changed the sample rate while media player is open, im aware it doesnt cope with the change ...

in XP i can change sample rates and media player is ok with 48k and 96k.

ive just upgraded to scope v5 on win 7 and i cannot use sample rates 48k or 96k.
when i select them i cannot hear any audio, at this stage i have only tried playing audio using windows media player.

when i was on win XP, scope 4.5, i was able to change sample rates in scope, and windows ...

thanks for the replies but i had already paid for v4.5 a couple of years ago so v5 should be a free upgrade.....
