I was actually going to post what a memory hog Vista is, but it seems you found out yourself. I'm still on 1Gb ram here and it leaves so little RAM left in the default install it's rediculous. You can pare that back a lot but tbh once I hit a low profile setup I was basically looking at Xp with a ...

I have also got the same problem, even tried the above fix of uninstalling everything and moving the card to a new slot. I did have this working many moons ago on a different computer, adifferent version of scope and an earlier version of Cubase SX, unfortunately I can't go back to that setup. I ...

Open task manager. Right click on logic.exe, or whatever the executable is called, and change the cpu priority from normal to high. This only works for the current session, but there is a more permanent solution by modifying the command line in the program shortcut, check this thread out for more ...

Pleased it has worked for you but I wouldn't advise giving the program anymore priority, if things are working ok at high, then leave it at that.
Somebody with better knowledge of thread priorities might be able to answer this better, but I would reckon real time might be the priority that some of ...

For win98se and all versions of windows, try this
http://www.teamcti.com/pview/index.htm
It's similar to task manager in XP/W2K, so you find the program in the list and change it's priority. Haven't got win98se to try it, so if it works you might like to report back here with the results.

The best solution for the asio overload problem is to change the cpu priority of logic. The easiest way to do this in XP/W2K is to open task manager and right click on logic 5 in the process list. You will then see a setting called "set priority", by default it is normal, change this to high.

As I said above, after a few tweaks I managed to eliminate all clicks. Can't say I've noticed a change in processor usage, but one theory I do have is that it is still very early days for XP and although XP found all my hardware, if I go searching for OEM drivers, I can't find any, so I expect as XP ...
