Don't much care since I don't have the ASB anymore but just for the record, my hanging note problems were caused by sending sequencer notes to the ASB and playing live on top of that at the same time. I've done the same thing ...

I sold my Minimax ASB nearly a year ago now (the thing sounded great but got hanging notes like crazy, which made the Poly aspect of it pretty useless).

There was a point, when I still had it, that I was writing to Sonic-core support literally once a week asking them if there were any fixes planned ...

you know about the fix of Slammah's B4000 ASB, but still put the company in a light of just cashing in for profit's sake while ignoring users. Great they actually helped one guy, and we only know about it because he told us about it himself on a unofficial internet forum.

Well if Yamaha, or some other company that acquires the rights, starts producing DX200's again, then yes I don't think it would be unreasonable for you to ask for some support.

You'd never get your firmware fixes if they'd focus on debugging - as the company would be out of business within less than half a year.

Certainly if you buy a discounted product from a company that's going out of business you're taking a gamble and you have to live with it. I wouldn't be bitching about the lack of support from Creamware if they'd simply gone out of business, that would be pointless.

a lot of ASBs out there are bargain and sellout machines, plus a ton from eBay
when Creamware had financial problems the legal administrator of the assets forced them to shell out whatever was on the shelfs...

People aren't angry because the Minimaxes (or other ASB's) are completely unusable. Obviously those of us who didn't immediately return them or sell them on have managed to find uses for them.

People are angry, firstly, because an instrument that has only 6 or possibly 5 consistently usable voices ...

I seem to remember the version # not changing in the software when I updated the OS (I can check for sure when I get home), I think I ended up doing it twice because I thought it hadn't worked the first time. But I don't think the number ever changed.

Well this is a step, albeit a small one, in the right direction, in that: Ralf's actually given you a specific response to your question, he's acknowledged that there is a problem, and he's suggested that they'll at least consider fixing said problem at some unspecified point in the future ...
