Re: Cannot use my Xite-1 for more than 1 minute

Update: Well the good news is that the Xite seems to work fine on a freshly installed PC with Win7 x86. Bad news obviously is that my DAW requires more than 2GB RAM :( Guess I'm going to have to do a driver spring cleaning to see who the culprit is, preferably not reinstalling everything. Anyone kno...

Re: Cannot use my Xite-1 for more than 1 minute

No luck. changed HDMI cable, re-seated PCIe card, same issues

I'm gonna try another PC and will get back later. Nothing changed on this current PC though save perhaps installing new gfx drivers. Ugh

Cannot use my Xite-1 for more than 1 minute

Hello, After a long hiatus in production I finally dusted off the xite (metaphorically speaking) and got back into the game... to find out at my dismay that I can no longer use it!! It seems to work for a about a minute, a little noise however than than a series of dialogs creep up (ie. copy protect...

Damn that escalated quickly!! Anyhow looking for different modular implementations IMO helps one appreciate SC ModIV more and especially understand more, replacing or substituting is not even an afterthought..

Re: New Device to Replace the STS

Uhh sampling is more than just sample playback and post processing. Personally I would love to get the jaded 800 patch to work again, as well as make own modular patches with fizmo translets, tg33 pcms etc. All of these require a basic sample player like modular. Kontakt is insufficient in this rega...

Re: Sonic Core's big 4 for 1 software items sale

True. But if that one man can do it on his own terms in his own time there's something good about that as well. Is there? I'm not really convinced that bug corrections should be done on "own time" but rather ASAP. I think SCOPE 5 is fine the way it is, given all of its quirks. But I think the platf...

Re: Sonic Core's big 4 for 1 software items sale

Soniccore should just take 100 up front from each person wanting Scope 6. Then charge another small amount on the back end. Those not wanting to invest can pay 300 when it's released. Great idea I got 200€ right here for SCOPE 5.2 (STS + sequencer fixed) and another 200 for SCOPE 6 although I'm not...

So any news on SCOPE 6? Or perhaps a 5.2 patch with working x64 samplers? I'll pay top dollar for those :)

Re: Driver Dialog in Win7

just add modules and windows will add drivers. well, you'll be asked if drivers should be added, if needed. And if I wanted to remove them? I've already added one, but it seems that I can't use them from within Skype. When I go to the Sound control panel in windows and I try to test either of the 3...

Re: Driver Dialog in Win7

I'm talking about the Driver Dialog detailed on page 2 of the Appendix (SCOPE manuals). How do you add/remove Wave drivers then if not through this dialog? I'm using an Xite BTW, si that why I don't see it anymore on Win7? So what you're suggesting is to use the embedded soundcard for skype and then...

Besides what jhulk said, at the very least prevent scope from bsoding the machine whenever a sample osc enabled synth is played!

Re: Is Sonic Core still alive

please define: a) modern b) producer c) software ecosystem No offense, but up to now I haven´t seen any real professional producer and engineer (for the big acts in rock & pop) not getting his work done and finished because not everything is 64Bit. The here so called "ecosystem" of these guys is a ...

Re: Is Sonic Core still alive

Then the whole sampler/sequencer 64bit debacle. Well, I don´t want to discuss if we really need 64Bit in the audio/MIDI world just only because the computer industry dictates. ... There is no other way than dealing w/ the facts and wait for SCOPE 6. I will agree that SCOPE shouldn't be pressured by...

Re: Is Sonic Core still alive

Although I appreciate most of what's been said, I have mixed feelings about S|C's current strategy.. Personally I agree with everything that Gary & Dante said about the durability of the platform but I do feel that S|C could be more forthcoming in regards to its image. For instance, while I do appla...

Re: Is Sonic Core still alive

If they spend another 2 years on it to make it total quality, I don't find that a depressing concept at all. If you want to spend money, theres plenty of native sample librarys and plugs out there. After learning much in fra77x's SDK class, at this point I don't want to spend my money on upgrades o...

it remains to be seen if it's doomed. i hope that i'm not doomed.
Not very reassuring, why doesn't S|C email a bunch of NDAs and open everything up to some of the talented developers here so that perhaps the "vehicle" can switch into 2nd gear? :)
