Re: what are you listening to at the moment?

Yummy tight band in an amazing venue, great tunes and arrangements that melt in your mouth...a beautiful recording...if they could just remove the voice-over it would be perfect. Ladies and Gentlemen, Any Schauf:

Re: Unreliable power problem on my XITE

I also get copy "copy protection errors" in Xite from static discharges to any part of my setup. Since you have tried other power supplies with no improvement it makes me think of my recent static troubles...just my 2 cents worth. Check humidity levels in you space...even very small "shocks" can cau...

Re: PCI master overflow

Thank you for the detailed response, Valis. Everything is properly grounded in the studio, that is certain. I did do a memory test already which revealed all is well in that department. I'll be moving down you list in the days to come but so far the system is working as it should.

Re: PCI master overflow

No it's not IRQ . Thhis system has been very stable for a long time with the same IRQs. I think it's static (even very small discharges without being touched). It's very dry here and everything is connected to the A16 (the mixer, direct boxes, instruments, synth boxes, microphones) and the static is...

Re: PCI master overflow

After multiple re starts of the entire studio (not just computer)... all is well. I don't understand it but it is working for now. The only thing I know for sure is no more rubber soled shoes ...and keep the humidity constant.

Re: PCI master overflow

Other clues...it (PCI overflow) happens when I start other audio programs in solo mode (like IK media Syntronic or NI Komplete running outside of CBase). Xite runs fine on it's own (synths load and work, it receives audio from A16). The PCI over message seems to come from windows not the audio progr...

Re: PCI master overflow

OUch! Thanks for the suggestions g. Which bios setting would you look at? I'll start trying things in software first since that worked once. If that doesn't get me anywhere I'll start in on the hardware. Dang you static electricity!

PCI master overflow

I've been using this new machine with Win10 and Cubase 10 since August with no problems...until last week when a static shock took the system down. It seemed that this crash corrupt Xite start project. CBase started giving me the PCI Master overflow errors on launch. I rebuilt the Xite project (remo...

Re: Scope 7 Bug List

I'm still testing my setup---Win10/64, Cubase10, SonicCore 7. Using the BCR2000 to control this mix in real time and recording the cc's into Cubase. I found the 4896 great during the session better response than ever before...unfortunately the 4896 still doesn't remember all the cc assigns as it sho...

Re: Security & Privacy with technology in 2018 and beyond

Amazing Polly does some very good analysis / research. She says she's a "refugee" from my province (Quebec) which she (and her family) left after Bill 101 in '77 (a bill forcing residents to be educated and work in French...exclusively). To which I say no problem...nobody has EVER died from knowing ...

Re: Security & Privacy with technology in 2018 and beyond

I recently moved over to Win10 and have been thinking about these issues more lately. Don't know how much of an attention seeker Vohies is, but I respect Helen of Destroy. She usually gets to the bottom of things quickly. Info in this interview is disturbing to say the least. Social engineering or "...

no, v7 uses v5 keys for optional devices.

be sure you have 64bit files. be sure that you don't mix up PCI and XITE files.
you could also install v7 on top of an old v5 installation that has all the correct files in place.
Thanks g. Ran out of time and patience for today. Back at it tomorrow.

Re: Some Keys not working

If you have a backup of an old installation, you can "just" copy the "keyfile" (in SCOPE\APP\BIN) from the backup and put it at the same place (copy over the installed keyfile). If I remember correctly, you are now ready to install without the need for keys, because they are already there :) I do h...

are you sure that you are using post v5 keys?

they don't go bad. this is a support issue.
Do you mean there are new keys for app version 7? This is a fresh install of 7.

...and now the ghost Dynomic and Saw are giving errors...can't find file xxxx. But the files are there and in the correct folder. I really dislike setting up a new system! Sorry if I'm sounding frustrated. I haven't done this for years and feel like I'm forgetting something or maybe the install file...

Some Keys not working

I should take this up with support directly but thought I'd ask here first. I'm in the middle of the rather long process of installing on a new system and some keys are not working . I get stuck in an endless loop of "invalid key" messages. This is happening with some of the Zarg (John Bowen) synths...

Bridging 32 to 64 vst?

Does anyone use anything like Jbridge or similar to use 32 bit plugs in 64bit environment? I only use Melodyne on rare occasions and would rather not re invest.
