Bonjour dude, Yeah, I read that bit in the manual, I was talking about the Alesis ADAT. Also, that bit in the VDAT manual is a lie (!) as far as I'm concerned — the only thing that happens when you press FF or RW during playback is that it rewinds or fas-forwards slower than usual (on my computer at...

Yes, the thought of using two mouses (mice?) at the same time is an interesting one, and might save us a fair bit of money on MIDI controllers! @ TGSTGS: Scrubbing won't translate very well from English in this context — it normally means 'to clean something with vigour'. But with respect to VDAT, i...

Doesn't the über-simple 'Channel' mixer have a 'mono' button? Just feed that with a stereo signal and the outputs will be mono-summed. I'm sure I've done pretty much what you describe using that. At the very least, I know for a fact that the Micro Mixer has a mono button (it just takes up a bit more...

Cheers Astro, Yeah, I think I understand about VDAT basically being an ADAT (just without the likelihood of mechanical fuckups). I haven't used an ADAT in years, but if I remember correctly, you had to hold play and ff/rw at the same time to scrub them. Without plugging a second mouse into my comput...

A gentle bump, if you don't mind... Seriously, I've done a lot of searching and only two or three people have complained about this not working - apologies if this is old news for everyone here, but I've only just started using VDAT and I really want to know if there's any way to get scrubbing to wo...

Interesting... Limited knowledge of PCI busses notwithstanding: The processing power on a DSP card will never be improved by the operating system it's being used on, so that doesn't seem to mean anything — what would be most important, I'm guessing, is for SFP to be able to work on a 64bit computer ...

Scrubbing in VDAT... possible?
Hello! Has anyone managed to get the scrub function to work in VDAT? I only spotted two topics here (ages ago!) related to this specific problem, and I thought that since it seems like such a useful feature, more people would've mentioned it if it just didn't work at all... am I right? Cheers! Chris

Good luck! For whatever reason (and I'm pretty sure it's a good one...) they're not being very forthcoming with info. It could be that a future announcement would make less of an impact if dribs and drabs of info came out before whatever date they have in mind for whatever announcement they might ma...

magazine articles are ALWAYS written by the manufacturer and then rewritten by the magazine in exchange for advertising. the bigger the ad, the bigger the article. Are you speaking from experience? What magazines have you worked at, or have known to operate like that? Because that's certainly not w...

lets not make this an SOS war! :D Trust me, this is the last thing I want! Suffice it to say (and please, for the sake of my sanity, let's not be magazine specific!) that either Sonic Core OR their distributors in their respective countries, would do well to send a press release out every now and a...

Even the change from Creamware to Soniccore and the announcments for Scope 5.0 was not named. Does anyone know why? :-? Not true actually - I wrote the box-out in News in Sound On Sound magazine (early last year, can't remember which issue) that explained all of this, and clarified a lot of the spe...

Cheers for the reply Arkadin, Yep, both DC-out. The manual online says you can use AC or DC adapters, so I might give the 1.2A one a try (I wrote 1.3 earlier - typo). You'd think that putting a lower amp adapter in it wouldn't do any damage, so I'll keep my fingers crossed and give it a try... Thank...
