i`ve left the post after the midi filter seemed to fix my problem. it was ok for like a month but now i get repeated freezes again. my card doesn`t share an irq, midi filter is there, what else could be the problem? shouldn`t i go the "standard pc" rout? or install the 3.1b driver?

i didn`t process while playing garyb. i never do that. anyhow, it turns out it was a really stupid thing: there was a tiny tiny loop range selected at that point , it`s cool now. i didn`t know you can make loops that samll in the project window.

well, i can only check tommorow, but the last time this happend it was due to an audio event with waves ir1 on offline processing, and i fixed it by removing the offline process (even though the cpu wasn`t that high otherwise)

I have a problem in sx3 on this project i`m working on. at some point in the middle of track i get stuttering which stops after two seconds, but then the transport buttons stop working and cubase just keeps playing and i can`t stop it. when the stuttering happens i see a jump in the cpu ...

I think that was it garyb, i`ll let guys know if i still get crashes but so far so good.

garyb, my luna has no conflicts where you told me to check. i do have a midi controller connected, i`ll check for active sensing and let you know. how do i go about this? just check the "show active sensing" in the midi monitor and see if something comes up? i don`t know if this is connected, but i ...

what will i loose? psionic said he doesn`t recommend this. btw, if i get my luna on irq 16 or lower without disabling acpi, is that ok as well? how can i get luna on a specific irq?

it has no conflicts, i`ve checked. but i still get crashes all the time, and it`s the same crash every time, it just freezes and the sound stutters, so i have to reboot manually.
