Sonic Core has sent me fresh key files for this board, version 4.5 and version 5 and download links for the software.
Regarding reregistration, "if you want to sell no need for reregistration" is the response from Sonic Core.

Thanks, everybody! I'm guessing it was an XP SP3 security thing as per the comments above.

The folks at Sonic Core gave it a thorough going-over on more than one machine. The card is 100% correct.

I'm going to move on. The card is up for sale, now.

Basically, too much tech for me. I thought about reinstalling XP and the card and getting it up and running again but I'm too lazy and am using other software-driven stuff now ....

Actually, leaving the residue seems to leave scope around in many audio apps aa an ASIO driver choice despite it's program directory being deleted. Wndows still sees its driver files?

I really need to get this SFP4.5 software completely off my system.

The hardware isn't installed and I used the XP "System Configuration Utility" to diable startup of the app.

Now, the uninstller won't run.

How do I get this stuff off my system?

Well, soniccore tested the card and gave it a pass.

I do not have it installed, currently.

Can anyone tell me how to uninstall the software manually? The Uninstaller doesn't run. I want it off my sysem before I try anything else.

Other sw is looking for scope and failing.

Well, I cleaned the contacts with an acceptable contact cleaner and put the scope card in the original slot -- blue screen -- it flashed by so quickly I couldn't note anything.

Placed the scope board in the only other 32-bit pci slot I have--it's a fairly recent Intel DG33FB with a 3GHz Core 2 Duo ...
