SCOPE 5.1 64-bit Wave noise issue

I seem to have a bit more issues in 64-bit mode than I've ever had in 32-bit Windows XP. The topic of the day here is my Wave Dest software inputs are so noisy they're not usable. For the most part when I'm using SONAR, it's not a big deal since I just default to ASIO. But when that's not an option ...

Re: Board ID AND IRQs

The 2nd AND the 3rd boards are both set to board zero? I have the same mb & I'm very curious since I have to install my scope card in the far outside PCI slot due to its length & let the other 2 in the middle used for my older Pulsar+ & SRB cards. I changed the host board ID in order for...

Re: SCOPE PCI v5.1 & notation software (Finale & Sibelius)

Just come to think of it, I wonder if this instability is related to ULLI setting (I have set to min. latency). I'll have to try it out with increased latency & see if Sibelius can be tamed. I'll be back after this brief experiment. Results are in...as suspected, ULLI setting made absolutely no ...

Re: SCOPE PCI v5.1 & notation software (Finale & Sibelius)

Man, this whole 64-bit migration is turning out to be much greater headache than I had anticipated. I thought I waited long enough for the industry to iron out issues as such...but then again, perhaps this is a longer standing issue of Sibelius v. SCOPE that has been a topic of discussion here...

Re: SCOPE PCI v5.1 & notation software (Finale & Sibelius)

I wonder if IO enabler is a legacy app. I looked through my older Windows XP 32-bit system HDD image & noticed IO enabler was indeed found in SFP application folder. But in my current system running Windows 7 64-bit with SCOPE PCI v5.1, I can't find this "IO enabler" thing. In Start me...

Hmmm...I can't seem to locate this 'I/O Enabler' in my system anywhere. Any ideas on where to look or how it may have gotten left out? :-?

Re: Scope 5.1 doesn't start on machine boot on Win7/64-bit

In Windows 7, 1. Run REGEDIT.exe 2. Go to 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run' 3. Right-click & select 'New>String Value:' 4. Type in Value name: SonicCore SCOPE PCI or something like that which identifies the line in both here & in MSCONFIG.exe 5. Type...

SCOPE PCI v5.1 & notation software (Finale & Sibelius)

More recent versions of both Finale & Sibelius seem to have terribly difficult time working with SCOPE PCI v5.1 in 64-bit Windows 7 here. ASIO driver has always been a little troublesome in the past with v4.5 & v5 in 32-bit but at least it allowed programs to start if I just take out ASIO so...

Re: upgrade from scope V5.0 to V5.1?

Unless you're planning on migrating to Windows 7 64-bit (assuming your current version of XP is 32-bit as most of us), I don't think you'll see anything new in V5.1. Of course, 64-bit computing is the future (and present for some & in increasing numbers as I'm very tempted to do so as 64-bit dri...

Re: Old Creamware Pulsar II in a new machine - will it work?

As long as your main (which ever one ends up being recognized by SFP as being the primary one) Pulsar II card does not share IRQ, you're okay. The secondary Pulsar II IRQ doesn't matter since all communication is carried out via STDM cable. PCI slot for the second card just provides power, correct, ...

Re: Old Pulsar2 with i7 DAW & Win7?

I've looked around many different DAW forums and there seem to be many posts regarding 64-bit compatibility issues...HW drivers, plug-ins, etc. I'm certainly not ready to jump onto x64 bandwagon quite yet. System stability vs. x64 advantage, stability wins in my book all the time. But then again, I'...

Re: Do VRCs work for you in Scope 5 - PCI?

One more user here to confirm the crash with VRCs.... :( Overall, I do like the new version now that I've got Wave driver issue resolved. But this along with VincoDT seems to be something to be fixed in the next release. SFP 4.5 had its share of bugs but most of them I think we were able to find a w...

Re: SCOPE 5 Wave for general Windows use? [multi PCI card setup]

I had something similar - turned out that because I had two cards it had updated the drivers to my 14 DSP Booster but not my 6 DSP card (which is the one with all the I/Os - so no sound naturally). I went into the Device Manager and manually changed them and alll was fine. Ah, that did it! Thank yo...

Re: SCOPE 5 Wave for general Windows use?

Before I installed SCOPE 5, I uninstalled SFP 4.5. Should I not have done that? Would that make any difference whether previous version is left or not? I was thinking SFP 4.5 might cause more harm than good by laying around while I migrate to SCOPE 5.
Anyone else having the same issue?

SCOPE 5 Wave for general Windows use?

Been using SCOPE 5 for some time until recently when I had to do some audio mixing of Windows Media Player playback into SCOPE environment...so now I'm back to SCOPE 4.5. A couple of things that I would like if SCOPE 5 gets updated again: 1. Being able to access Wave driver from general Windows appl...
