Re: Brazda lui Novac first album release
Hi,
I have been to your website and I am very impressed by your music. It reminds me of Autechre and Boards of Canada, as if they were fused together. The band Spooky comes to mind as well. You have made some excellent music. I love the drums/percussion. And the melodies over the top of them. I am ...

Re: My stab at trying to sound like Fripp
Heu, peeps,
I did that piece whilst having flu, which might have been the swine variety. Hard to tell. It was an experiment, so I value your thoughts on it.
It was recorded through Scope, but did not use Scope devices. Old gear can be made to sound good though? What do you think?

Hi there,
Is that the Amen breakbeat I hear there? Plus some other percussion? This is nice and relaxing.

Re: My stab at trying to sound like Fripp
The guitar sound is actually a saw wave patch on my old Ensoniq TS10 keyboard. I stuck it through an onboard distortion-phlanger-reverb effect and played it live straight into Cubase. The other sounds come from a JV1080.

There were no guitars involved, only synths.
Still, made a great noise, eh?

My stab at trying to sound like Fripp
Hi there, peeps. What do you think of this little piece? I'm making an extended soundscape piece, and thought it needs a bit of Fripp at some point. I can't afford to hire him, so I thought I'd have a go myself.

Midiman 4x4
Hi,
I have a laptop and a Midiman. I get a really strange problem with Cubase. It seems that what amy midi messages sent to the first set of channels also goes to the other three. Does anyone know if there are issues with Midiman drivers. This one has got me stumped.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Neutron Paradox Beta and preset making for release.
This device sounds great. I think I annoyed my neighbour tonight because I've been doing massive, buzzy basslines and showed him no remorse. I just got in there and fiddled with the knobs. I have a 4 Sharc board. I got 3 voices. For this modern electro thing type of music I hear in the clubs, this ...
Re: Phoenix 1
Jimmy,
I use an old version of Cubase. 3.8 if I remember. I use the free kjaerhus plug ins. Plus the old Scope card. My brain comes into some play as well. I don't know where :-)
I'm glad you like it. I must get it finished and do it live. Time is short here though. I have too much to do.

This tune is for Nina Omar of Cairo. It is my first attempt at anything Arabic.
Hope you like it.

Hi there,
I have played this one live as well. Trouble was, my sequencer on my Ensoniq TS10 had a fit and played the wrong sounds. Still, no-one noticed
This track will be considered old-skool. So what?

Re: Using Scope to do a DJ Mix
Well, I want to load 2 tracks into different samplers and once the second sample is triggerred, match the tempo on the fly. Is this a job for STS5000? I think I can manage the routing to make EQ changes and add effects.

Using Scope to do a DJ Mix
Has anyone used Scope to do a DJ Mix? Beatmatching, kill switches etc? Is it possible just using Scope?

Re: Wavelenght free stuff
I find the Thrust synth is nice and raw and gritty. Plastic is just plain weird. Great little synth. The standard synths that come with Scope are nice, but Stephen's are truly superior. Download them before Lycos take the page down. They complain to me about bandwidth.
