i wonder, does anyone know how to disable scope to start up automaticcally when starting winXP? i tried uncheck the *active box*, and changing the extension of *newproject.pro* and *startproject.pro* from *pro* to *000*. didn't do the trick.

relase in background on = audio-out when switching to scope (as active program) or do you mean something else ?? i've resetted drivers and changed from asio to mme driver and back etc. etc. didn't do me no good.

alas, i was too optimistic. cubase keeps crashing again (SX3 AND ST4, asio and full duplex drivers)). even after reinstall winXP. i'm now testing my audio through motherboard audio , seems OK. i fear my scope card is slowly dying (somewhere between 8 and 10 years old)

my config: Asus M2N-E, Amd 64 X2, asus nvidea Gforce 7600 GS.

lately my cubase (studio 4) started to freeze, each day more rapidly, yesterday even after 5 minutews or so. ive found out that when i disabled my vga driver, everything seemed OK (of course graphics became very slow).

but this evening ...

does anyone know of a cheap little gadget that enables my pulsar2 card to sync to wordclock (via spdif or adat) ?

of course i would do that, why not. but what's the point here since i can only load 5 or 6 masterverbs ? needless to say that i don't expect any PCI problems while running my verbs.

for the record, i don't work witk STS samplers no more since they are no match for present day VST-samplers ...

Does this mean that, when i connect a second Pulsarcard to my first via S/TDM, it will "overrule" the PCI connection of the second card ?
Will the second card then behave like a booster-card ?
Do i have to install a driver for the second card ??

just a simple question, not about performance etc. i've got a P2 card. A friend of mine offers to sell his old P1 card to me. what will happen if i plug in the P1 card. (not directly connected to P2, only by PCI) ?
Does scope software see 10 DSP's, or .....?

i forgot to mention,

my system is running rocksteady and completely silent, (i use it a lot, all day long) CPU and case temperature 30-40 degrees.

i think a scopecard can't match the performance of a RME card, but i can live with that.

there is room for 6 HD's, right under the drivebays.

if you're not planning to use 6 HD's, PCI slot 1 is available over the length of the whole case, maybe that goes for slot 2 too. i have to open my PC for that, for i'm not completely sure.

mv test not relevant for me since i've got only 6 DSP's.

i've done the fivetowers test

at 44.1 kHz/25mS: stop=20-24%, running=30-36%
at 44.1 kHz/7mS: stop=23-26%, running=35-39%
at 44.1 kHz/3mS: stop=28-32%, running=41-47%

performance is fluctuating during play AND stop. i.ve taken the values ...

new PC:

mobo: asus M2N-E
cpu: AMD64 X2 3800+ (AM2)
mem's: 2x Kigston DDR2-800 KVR800D2N5/1G
video: asus extreme N7600GS/silent/HTD 512mb
case: antec sonata II
hd's: 2x WD 160GBsata2
1x scope pulsar 2 card (scope 4.0)

i decided for this setup because cpu was relatively cheap (E 153,-)

i'v got it ...

i'm really interested in two options:
1 - connecting the motif es together with the scope card with cubase SX
2 - this seems to me a more logical option: connecting the motif es together with cubase sx to the scope card (i.e. to a scope mixer)

when i connect a Yamaha ES synth via firewire (mLan option), i create a second asio driver. does anyone know if two asiodrivers (i.e. scope card + yamaha) can work together in cubase SX?

does anyone have a suggestion which mobo to buy for AMD X2 cpu.

i want a silent board (passive northbridge cooling), no PCI bandwith problems for my scope card, etc. etc.

i'd like to know if someone is working with a AMD Athlon X2 processor + scope software/hardware. are you experiencing problems or is everything working OK ?
Since the AMD Athon X2 +3800 is not particular expensive, it may be an option for me.

at this point, i'm very curious if anyone has "hard evidence" (not "here say") whether AMD X2 + scope cards/software systems work OK or not. The court is now in session. Is AMD X2 guilty or not !!
