Re: any good source for more presets ?
Did you try the presets section of the forum? I compiled a lot of presets into one-stop packages (all sound designers credited): https://forums.scopeusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28825 There's also the more recent StyleDriver library from Sonic Core: http://scope.zone/index.php?id=1360&lg=e...

Re: First sound card.
Whatever was built into my PC at the time, some SoundBlaster thing. Then jumped straight to Pulsar and PowerSampler. I was buying the Pulsar and mistakenly thought that you needed PowerSampler to run the sampler - I don't think information was as clear back then and I didn't know about Planet Z. Wel...

Re: 20th Anniversary on PlanetZ
Haven't heard from Michu for ages. We used to have regular e-chats and I even met him in Poland when I went there on holiday and got very drunk on various different vodka drinks. Glad he's still active even if it's not here.

Re: Windows 10 - what do I need to look out for?
I'm only thinking about this because the latest BFD3 from fxpansion is W8 and W10 only (effectively making it Windows 10 only as I don't know any musos that use W8 - or many people fullstop!)
They've dropped W7 support and I was very vocal about my thoughts on that!

Re: Windows 10 - what do I need to look out for?
win10 really needs to be connected to the internet. it is the beginning of a client-based solution, rather than local applications, so it is intended to always be connected. if you don't let it update, funny things can happen. if it updates normally, it is pretty well-mannered. Yeah, that's the sor...

Windows 10 - what do I need to look out for?
So I'm thinking that some time this year I will 'upgrade' to Windows 10. I have looked at a few threads but all the information is all over the place or a bit old, so I wanted to maybe get all the info in one thread. My system: Windows 7 64-bit (latest updates) XITE-1 running Scope 7.0.1706 Cubase 1...

Re: Most beautiful space image !
I recently entered the Spitfire Audio competition using NASA films and Spitfire's LABS Choir only as sound source.
Sadly the video isn't high quality, but here are the results anyway:

Re: 20th Anniversary on PlanetZ
I got my first system in 2000 and joined here the following year, so not quite 20 for me, but not a bad innings. Thanks to those that made it a pleasant journey, with the occasional low points and feedback obsessed trollboys
It's kind of amazing we're still here.

MIDI Clock not working? (Cubase 10 and Scope 7)
So I have Cubase 10 Pro, Scope 7 on XITE-1 and Windows 7 - all on latest versions. I am trying to tempo sync the SC-AutoGate and in the past I just went into Cubase and set it to XITE-1 MIDI Out (I think it's called) and I'm sure that's all i needed to do, other than connect the Scope device to MIDI...

Re: Scope (XITE) won't launch, but...
What happens if you use the old monitor again? Unfortunately it died, hence the new one. I did however have Scope working with this new monitor for a few days before it just decided to not launch the other day. Probably unrelated, but worth mentioning is that my Firefox has also become buggy and I ...

Re: Scope (XITE) won't launch, but...
Yeah I've checked task manager and it is completely empty, not a single process is going on, not even a 'not responding' one. Even if the XITE was broken or disconnected (which I've proved isn't the case on my Admin log-in) I would expect the Scope GUI to launch, then give me the 'no hardware detect...

Scope (XITE) won't launch, but...
Yeah, so for no apparent reason (the only thing I change recently was my monitor) I can no longer launch Scope for XITE on Windows 7 64-bit. Now I tried the usual - thinking maybe when I plugged my new monitor I may have dislodged a cable. I used the installer to repair Scope, checked I was running ...

Re: Dante Trip to the USA - Where the Streets Have No Name
I'm looking to do the Smithsonian next year as I gave some money to preserve Neil Armstrong's suit and it returns next year for display.
May have to swing by Carson City and see the Dawman (want to do West Coast too).
Nice pics. Loving the Spitfire (natch).
