startdust, many thanks! this solved the 'not found' error messages which was the main problem.

1 problem left - when i click on the installer of my MasterverbPro, I get 'access is denied'.

Any idea how to solve this?

cheers.

Sorry to hear this.
1) Did you solve the IRQ conflict ?
2) Did you disable all unrequired services ?

cheers.

the fact that both of us have ATI Radeon further supports my suggestion to disable all the graphic card startup services. (the card works great without them).

1. i was sure mine was disabled too, but was wrong. worth double checking.
2. start->run, type "msconfig", then choose the 'startup' tab, and disable all that can be disabled. in my case it was EVERYTHING.
cheers.

I read somewhere that someone changed the drivers from v4 to v3 and problems disappeared.
Since you mention drivers, I intend to try this within the next few days, unless some better info comes along.
cheers.

hi Neil. I suspected it's related to Cubase , but then again - I use cubase 99.9% of the time. Many times it is indeed getting stuck on a 1 second audio, just like you mentioned, so there is a good chance we have the same problem. Did you have the problem since you installed the card, or did it star...

Some keyboards send it and spoil the show.
try filtering in Cubase.
Can this be the case even if all keyboards are OFF, and MIDI is not being used in the projects at all?

Thanks.

Computer stops responding

hi. About 3 months ago I got a new machine. Making Cuabse 3 work with my Pulsar was a BIG pain, but finally it worked. Problem is that while Cubase3 is working, occasionally, either once in a week, or twice in a day, the computer will completely freeze - even CTRL-ALT-DEL is not responding. Did any ...

maybe i did not explain myself correctly, but it's only the CREAMWARE plugins that I would like to work in XTC mode, not any other ones. This is why it's so strange that some do, and some do not work in it.
Thanks.

19thbear, thank you for your feedback. I've been working in XTC mode during the last 5 years, but this is a completely new installation, so any info is appreciated. Before doing all the steps you sent me, I just noticed that some of the plugins DO WORK in cubase, but some just appear as empty dialog...
