Some great insights and discussion here.
I wish others could see this thread.

Fascinated by the Bats and Oxygen info. Humans swimming vrs. Fish was a great analogy.

My brotha's in Nashville are ripping pissed about the Mayor following the investors orders and hiding facts from the voters.
These big city Mayors all have the same message, use the same memes.

Re: Hardware synths vs Scope synths vs Software synths

Owners deserve opinions, we paid for it.
I hope too.
If you want I can assist you with SR Pro.
Once it’s set no more fussing or loading something, then loading a preset.
Really nice to have for mixing on the fly too.

Re: Hardware synths vs Scope synths vs Software synths

Adern Flexor synth patches exemplify the unique Scope DSP Sound too. Flexor III patches in a Scope project use a fraction of power offered. You could have 6 x patches, each different MIDI Channels, cover a powerful set of sounds. I’m trying to re route MIDI from going to ASIO host when these patches...

Re: Now I've seen it all....

Samples are loved by the audience. We did lots of hard rock covers from the 70s to fill in blanks in the Johnny Rod/WASP Gigs. War Pigs Air Raid Siren really wowed the audience and that made the applause fit in even better at the end. I still use my 3 Stooges SFX and Curly noises too. Chicks with bi...

Re: Now I've seen it all....

I’ve been doing this forever because the Ensoniq Mirage had an applause sample.
I’ve got a dozen different wav. files I use and as corny as these are, they work great at gigs.

The Sheep will clack their hooves in approval.

Re: sequencers

To me it will be a sequencer outside of my Windows 10 PC that will trigger bass and drums, which personally Im tired of 5 piece bands. Somebody always won’t do this, won’t do that, won’t go here, etc. Plus 1/3 of the stage is drums and bass rigs. Sure it’s pricey, but so am I... :D The fact I can re...

Re: sequencers

Faxi had one for a while and can’t say much yet. But I know he liked it and uses the MK3. We’ll see wassup but 4 gigs of ram and a custom OS is like SHARC DSPs. Don’t have to be 4GHz just to overcome s sloppy Windows OS. One thing I like is how a MIDI CC loads s project. A button press or foot switc...

Re: sequencers

I might drag out my old BCR for this news.

If it doesn’t do the live work like I need I’ll get the Maschine +.
Akai MPC Live just got sold.
Too much menu diving.

This is why if instruments are good with MIDI they don’t last long with me.

I’m going to try Zaw...

Re: new Scope system 2020

4U Chassis’s last for years because they use gravity as a natural mechanism for longevity. I’ve never used a tower or any build where the motherboard is at a 90 degree angle. For big Scope Pro Cards I’d rather see them use gravity. Great build. Maybe for extra Master Verb instances add some RGB ligh...

Re: HP ProBook 4740s Notebook graphic card question

Probably because Intels “Graphics Card” is an on die GPU, and the AMD is actually an actual GFX accelerator.
I’ve been using Intel's built in/on die Graphics Chip for years now. They’re great for audio because no frames per second (FPS) are required for 2D monitoring/

Re: TOTAL AUTOMATION

Its a custom cut down version of his others.
Hit the question mark and a text page covers the AUX channels to read MIDI CC's or whatever you need for as a reminder.

EQ and Filters per channel, no inserts on AUX, no panning, etc.

Just the meat & potatoes for me.

Re: TOTAL AUTOMATION

Yes. Everything gets precision thanks to the snapshots by SAL/Speilraum. I’m liking the dual screens, and when TigerLake or Cezzane are released (both do triple LCD) their on die GPU’s might not be Gaming strong, but enough for audio/content creation. Here’s what I’d like. 5E2049CD-E500-4C7E-A271-98...

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

Dante, my Physis K4 triple Wheel assembly is being replaced as we speak. I’m buying the ISW when it’s finished and will mess with this. PBend will be for an octave, then Wheel 1 will be -1 whole step, and FC7 expression +1 whole step. I have calibration diagnostics and we’ll see how mine works. If t...

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

I’ll ask Tiago who turned me onto this to resend me his instructions.
My Scope synths portamento was weak, also steppy.
Expert Sleepers SilentWay Suite changed that immediately.

I’ll catch him hopefully on FakeBook.

Re: Active Sensing filter in Scope ?

Yeah Ill wait for Midi spec 2 & see if Andrew will implement. meanwhile Ill just suck it up for live or recording, as the issue is not present on playback or mixdown. ThanksU Its gonna be a PITA when MIDI 2 comes along but none of the current billion VST's or h/ware on the planet receives it  ...
