Re: questions

Which Ryzen are you using if I may inquire? A cheap Ryzen 3600, more than enough for a dsp based DAW :) Thanks, but that CPU is pretty competent for DAWs because of the cache and good IPC numbers. Went to CES and AMD just trounced Intel. Whooped them so bad Intel can’t even get back in the fight un...

Re: questions

On my latest build based on Ryzen and Asus crosshair VII hero and windows 10, very rare clicks on wave source and no clicks on ASIO. My usual settings are 48 KHz and 6 ms ULLI and 32 channels of ASIO. I Also suggest to disconnect the wave source modules inside Scope when working with ASIO, because ...

Wow.
JBowen Filters are in WaveState.
If they aren’t his somehow they’re in Solaris.

Re: Highlights of NAMM 2020

I bought one and will hack that motha’ as soon as possible. There’s extra GBs of sample space too, 2 GB’s according to the British Chap @ SState. Korg has a GitHub space with weird named files and Samples. So until then the samples I heard were damn good, and are enough to get me going. I’m in a Psy...

Re: Highlights of NAMM 2020

Yeah Bud I think they are going to sell a LOT of those Wavestate. I'm considering ordering one but mostly to take on the road with me. Size-wise I think it is just a little bit too big for regular airline travel. Too bad as it would have provided me many hours of productive work sitting in a hotel ...

Re: Highlights of NAMM 2020

JoeyD always kills it. Jesus Molina is just a monster too. DOMi will be a Warrior before long, great talent at such a young age. I still think WaveState is the big pleaser though. It’s ready to ship, so I grabbed one. Here’s why. Sounds great, enough polyphony to replace Keyscape, ZebraHZ and Omnisp...

Re: Solaris HW tabletop & 1U "19 rack versions

These guys always make the best gear, but marketing is expensive and a gamble. This is why I send my money in advance because I’m a man of faith. The God of Scope always answers my prayers. How much, when can I send it, and I don’t want to know anything about production. Send me an email when you sh...

Re: Solaris HW tabletop & 1U "19 rack versions

The Oasys PCI was my first want and desire but Gigastudio won the day.
Then Giga w/ Scope PCI.

Maybe play from the Cloud in 10 years.

When you think about it, Moses was the first guy to download files from the cloud to a tablet.
We’ve come full circle.

Re: Solaris HW tabletop & 1U "19 rack versions

Out of love for everything Bowen I want both. Man when I used a Matrix 12 and XPander I felt like a bad ass. I’d still run the “desktop” from the Physis K4, let the Solaris keyboard run the 1U. If they’d just make booth babes legal again I’d be at NAMM. My money goes for CES every January. NAMM is a...

Re: Migrating SDK Wiki & BCModular Wiki - Donation Drive

I’m fixing to chip in but waiting for CPA Costs and how much I need to send Uncle Sam.
Going to be digging into SDK and MIDI 2.0.
Been studying Scope DSP and might be able to use it as a snapshot multi zone controller.
Means I’ll be making my own devices.

Keyscape + Scope DSP

Anyone with Keyscape is pretty happy but adding more realism is always good. Round Robin techniques first created in Gigastudio are pretty common in all sample playback software. It just doesn’t work for me as it’s jumpy like a Random LFO. I love motion in music but for a Fender Rhodes old Satellite...

Re: Midi 2.0 & MIDI-CI, Midi Profiles, Midi Property Exchange

CES is where Roland decided to reach more people to unveil its new controller. Couldn’t get answers if the pedals were reassignable per preset or constantly global. Still nobody can get close to the Physis K4 which was discontinued. MIDI 2.0 sounds cool though. Better resolution is needed to sweep O...
