Re: HDMI switch

i don't know, but since the XITE's connection is not HDMI, a switch might make problems or cause damage.
it's likely not to work, since the XITE is not hot-swappable. the XITE must be in communication with the computer's main board from boot to shut-down.

Re: Audio Interfaces: Behringer vs Focusrite

they have several output options.
i have a two channel with analog outs. they offer MADI and Dante outs for the 8 channel, the analog out option is the standard 8 channel output.
the output modules are also available seperately. it's the same pre in any case. analog outs would be what most would use ...

ADA8200 w/ ribbon mics?

well, maybe some, but the old RCA style ones need a special pre because of input impedance. if you have the mic, you can get the pre....

there are many choices in mic pres. if you really want Focusrite, how about Platinum series used?

Re: Audio Interfaces: Behringer vs Focusrite

the Focusrite products that made the name are WAY more than $165, just for one channel. the Saffire is about the quality of the Behriger, but it's whatever you like. the Saffire is definitely not "bad".

i would invest in preamps instead of an interface, or interface/preamp.

second on the current ...

Re: Xite-1 Word Clock

i have found ADAT to be just fine, when it works. some devices just seem to be picky. i used to have a couple of Frontier AD/DAs, and one of them only worked as ADAT slave with my old PCI cards. the same AD/DA worked just fine with other devices slave or master. the other AD/DA worked as slave or ...

Re: Xite-1 Word Clock

my system is still based around PCI cards, since i have so many projects that use them. my XITE is clocked via ADAT from an A16mk2 which uses wordclock. it is true that the XITE clock in(slave) is faulty, there was a file that allowed wordclock slave, at the expense of wordclock master. i have not ...

Re: how to set Scope 7 for recording from Z-link 8 channel BOX

monitor the Scope mixer(not inside Cubase), and leave it in between ins and outs.
Cubase becomes a multitrack recorder(with additional processing) and Scope becomes the "room" that the recorder and real world components live in. this allows maximum options, flexibility, and allows real hardware to ...

Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO

i don't use an account in any of my computers.

it's fine to have internet disabled, BUT, it's a good idea to allow the computer to attempt to update on the internet every day, if you are using Scope ASIO or anything that is time dependent. since the computer WILL try to update and that WILL create ...

Re: how to set Scope 7 for recording from Z-link 8 channel BOX

Z-Link connections will nnot show in your DAW. the i/o connections for the DAW are the ASIO connections. ASIO source comes from the DAW, ASIO dest goes to the DAW.

in the Scope routing window, you can place ASIO source and destintation modules, set the number of connections in and out of the ASIO ...

Re: Windows 10 and Scope 5.1 without Wave/ASIO

windows 10 will always try to update. if you don't let it try, it will keep trying until it connects to the internet, even if there are no updates.

windows 10 is not a product, it is a service managed by m$, so it needs the internet, at least when first booted. the update attempts will often make ...
