the power connector is only needed when using ...

you don't need a v5.1 key with v7 32bit. just the zip with the v5.1 files from support.

Re: no need to cry after sts samplers, vst does it also better
Scope does not run on the PC.
only the GUI runs on the PC. this requires communication with the OS.
STS and wave OSCs run on the PC's memory, which requires hardware level connections.
the driver hands the midi and audio streams to the PC and receives the streams from the PC. this is through the OS ...

all good, but there are some things that are not correct.
"All sound-based system developments are discontinued!!"
not true. its all very, very slow. whether or not anything will come of it is not determined.
"SC no longer has any developers on board! DSP licensing is blocked. Script and Win DLL ...

the STS is from a time before 64bit memory addresses. that is the big problem.

Re: HDMI switch
i don't know, but since the XITE's connection is not HDMI, a switch might make problems or cause damage.
it's likely not to work, since the XITE is not hot-swappable. the XITE must be in communication with the computer's main board from boot to shut-down.

they have several output options.
i have a two channel with analog outs. they offer MADI and Dante outs for the 8 channel, the analog out option is the standard 8 channel output.
the output modules are also available seperately. it's the same pre in any case. analog outs would be what most would use ...
