hi chaps
just a quick question before i go forthwith and get a second card.
is it possible to use one card in xtc mode and use the second as normal, ie with the routing capabilities?

Why are you inputting all those Scope busses in Cubase?
Just record from the mixer's main mix out.
im trying to monitor each track seperatly in the scope mixer :smile:

this is really doing my head in. i really cant figure this out, if what you guys are saying it must be in cubase.but where? i really cant see why this aint working.
if ive asigned bus`s to channels 1-16, then surely these need to all get routed back to the main master mixer in cubase but without the ...

ta, ill give it a go. if i put the Analogue Source straight into ASIO Dest will i not be able to apply anything to the master mix like an exciter or something?

thanks (again!) mr, hearing the audio is not the problem its doing the final mixdown.
after ive routed the asio2 source into the mixer, given each track its own bus i can monitor each of these on the scope mixer.
now, when i connect the asio2 dest to the main mix l&r the master mixer in cubase is ...

ok thanks, but still im confused on wheather this will help me to mix down my track from cubase.
my understanding (some what minimal) is that after the main mix of the stm i need to connect back into cubase, this being the asio dest. right? or have i got this totally wrong

im using asio2 16bit source into the mixer and going out of the main mix L&R into asio2 dest 1L&1R this then feeds the monitoring setup
any ideas?

well i thought i had but ive come across another issue, i can use the fader in the scope mixer but now i cant mixdown and i have no levels in the main cubase master fader?
damn, any ideas?

im using sl but ive sussed it. you have to activate the vst outputs, which are in effect the busses

thanks for that.

ive done as youve said and connected the source to mixer (17 x l&r) but ive only got the option for 1 bus (bus 1) it doesnt give me any more to choose from

any thoughts?

hi guys
thanks alot for the help on my other thread im all sorted now (at last)
my next problem :roll: comes in the shape of directing indavidual cubase tracks onto each relavant chanel in the stm mixer

at the moment i have all the audio going into 1 chanel of the stm and i would like split it all ...

got it sussed, for some reason the "wiring" was all going into left chanels :roll:

thanx guys

btw, i hate to be a total retard here but i assume if u put an effect, say a compressor in the main insert of the mixer this will be included at the final mixdown in cubase?

again thanks for the speedy replies,
ive ¬armed¬ eaxch of the stereo tracks within the mixer, could you explain a bit more in what you mean by change the wirring. i mean where should the be routed,

sorry for being a bit of a thicko but im finding it quite complex :sad:

im using the stm448 mixer with the asio 2 24 bit source routed into the in2 and in3 of the mixer. the mix l and r of the mixer going into the asio dest.

is this any help?

im having a problem with panning my midi and audio tacks in cubase. basically wheather i go left or right it makes no difference.

im using a pulsr 2 plus - main outs of mixer (xlr) to in of pulsar (xlr)

out of pulsar (xlr) to in of amp (2 tip 1/4" jack)
