So sorry for the troubles Nestor. You may have tried this, but it's not clear from your description. Try re-installing the drivers, and then re-install the scope software. It shouldn't overwrite your projects and other data. It sounds like you have made sure that everything is seated properly, and I...

I would be ecstatic for a V 7.1 with those fixes. No need to roll the number to V 8. No complaints, either.

To be honest, I wasn't sure and made a conscious choice to read it as authentic. Glad to read that I got it right! 20+ years for me too. Nothing short of amazing!

Re: Using ASIO Link Pro to avoid SCOPE BSOD in Win 10

Thanks Valis, the first step was verifying the best access to Holger, which you helped me find earlier in this thread: support@soniccore.de. Based on this post of yours, I have not passed anything directly to Holger, as DragonSF is a better source if he has already responded: Just a note that I had ...

Re: Using ASIO Link Pro to avoid SCOPE BSOD in Win 10

The answer to that is "It depends". DSF's code capture shows the first step in the code call, and changing from a DWORD to a QWORD is easy there. But this code calls additional code which also has to be changed to accept the QWORD that is being passed to it, again not difficult in his exam...

Re: Using ASIO Link Pro to avoid SCOPE BSOD in Win 10

Thanks Valis, that's the link where I found the email in my post above, so 'support@soniccore.de' is the best option. I understand that DragonSF's info is of little use here, aside from this being the one-stop shop for Scope, but indirectly it could be invaluable. I'm just trying to grease the skids...

Re: Using ASIO Link Pro to avoid SCOPE BSOD in Win 10

GaryB and Valis, can you verify that this is the most direct email to Holger: support@soniccore.de If not, what is the correct contact for this type of information? Holger is very likely on top of this and has included updated data structures for any future releases, but I can verify that DragonSF i...

Re: HP xw4600 very hot

Good suggestions about the heatsink and fresh paste. More info about how the computer is behaving is helpful. Like NTN says, an intake and an outtake fan should be the minimum for that many cards. Leaving the case open actually reduces the air flow because the cover isn't helping to force the flow d...

Re: 55” TV Doubling As PC Monitor.

You're hoping to play PC games? Is the Charter router your internet, your cable TV channels, or both? Is it a smart TV with apps for streaming Netflix, etc.? For PC games, you need a GFX card with an HDMI out, and then into the TV. Switch HDMI inputs at the TV and you're up and running. Unless the T...

Re: any downsides of short latency ?

Easy rule of thumb for audio: 1ms = 1ft or 30cm If you really need to be more precise (as in considering significant distances), add about 10% to your distance value for each ms (1ms = 13inches or 33cm). Think of how that applies to live musicians. 3ms becomes almost nonsensical. 6ms is a very small...

Re: Y splitter

Are you splitting, or merging (2 inputs to 1 output)? Because that cable is separating a stereo into two mono signals (or vice versa), there are two separate audio paths, and therefore no impedance mismatch between the paths. If your are splitting a mono signal into separate signals, Garyb is right,...

Hmm, try launching into your music login, and check Task Manager after you've tried to start scope. You may need to choose More Details... and then see if scope is listed under Processes. Are all of your icons showing in the right hand side of the task bar, or are some of them hidden? No scope in th...

Re: Frozen DSP Chips

Damn, you make me jealous! Pack your water pipe with some snow and enjoy! I'd suggest that you let it thaw. I don't think the chips themselves would be problematic, but the circuit boards and solder joints may suffer. Combine that with the potential for some condensation trapped inside that suddenly...
