I think by the time Creamware was designing the Pulsar cards, -5V was already becoming a legacy requirement in system design, in particular for the old ISA bus. It likely dropped from component designs entirely more than 20 years ago.
There are many original Pulsars that have been upgraded into ...

Re: Epic Total Meltdown of my 3 card Scope System
Valis, yes poor phrasing on my part.

Re: Epic Total Meltdown of my 3 card Scope System
The most likely explanation is that either the original PSU damaged the mainboard when it failed, or the mainboard failed and damaged the PSU. The UPS should have provided protection even if the new batteries were faulty, which is not very likely. Your new UPS is quality, and not likely to be the ...

Heat is just the symptom of Intel's, or AMD's, challenge. Cooling is primarily a mechanical challenge, and the solutions are well known and available. The problem is the expense and space requirements of the solutions, followed by the monthly electical bills to run them.

Is V8 in the wild, as a beta or otherwise?
I don't recall hearing any responses from the XITE1+V8 sale a couple of years ago.

The Tech Talk has a post with information about PCs.
If you are getting a new computer, consider leaving the DSP setup in the current computer and use ADAT connections from your new computer with Cubase.

So sorry for the troubles Nestor. You may have tried this, but it's not clear from your description. Try re-installing the drivers, and then re-install the scope software. It shouldn't overwrite your projects and other data.

I would be ecstatic for a V 7.1 with those fixes. No need to roll the number to V 8. No complaints, either.

Thanks Valis, the first step was verifying the best access to Holger, which you helped me find earlier in this thread: support@soniccore.de.
Based on this post of yours, I have not passed anything directly to Holger, as DragonSF is a better source if he has already responded:

Re: Using ASIO Link Pro to avoid SCOPE BSOD in Win 10
The answer to that is "It depends". DSF's code capture shows the first step in the code call, and changing from a DWORD to a QWORD is easy there. But this code calls additional code which also has to be changed to accept the QWORD that is being passed to it, again not difficult in his example. But ...

Thanks Valis, that's the link where I found the email in my post above, so 'support@soniccore.de' is the best option.
I understand that DragonSF's info is of little use here, aside from this being the one-stop shop for Scope, but indirectly it could be invaluable. I'm just trying to grease the ...

GaryB and Valis, can you verify that this is the most direct email to Holger: support@soniccore.de
