Celmo, any way to disable the speaker simulation in GAM or BAM so that we can use your newer speaker simulator? I think this would allow for more diverse sounds.

Yes, you can use it in a VST host. Simply copy one of the XTC DLLs to a new file, and rename it to the same name as the Ambience DEV file. Then it should load. If this isn't clear enough, look in the XTC forum for a better explaination on how to do this. I am using the P100 with no problems in XTC ...

Argh, my reverb lust must not go unquenched! As of wednesday, still no updates on the STW site...Warp69, I may suggest trying to find another software co. to distribute your products. They are so great that they deserve more publicity/ease of registration than this.

Great news! The ambience program sounds great on just about everything, it really gells things together. By the way I am 90% done with a pretty comprehensive P100 manual. I'd be happy to make A100 manual too if I have some extra time. Keep up the good work, I am highly anticipating the Hall algos ...

Warp, I understand your concerns about lack of interest in the 2016, especially if the native version is more CPU-friendly. At least you will have a fun toy for your own Scope cards! This is good news about the Ambience verb and CD100 updates. Since you have already finished the Hall programs, I ...

Yes I am fearing the worst since every single thing on my primary hard drive takes forever to load (and yes there are NO fragmented files). It even takes about 1-2 minutes for SFP to start versus only a few seconds in the past. Well thanks for the info, I've battled computer hardware most of my life ...

Hey this is really good! Doesn't sound like it needs much else, maybe a bit more brass in some parts, but it really sounds pretty complete to me. Maybe add a little more of a "click" sound to the bassdrum, it is getting lost on my small speakers. What about some funky-ass clav in the background too ...

Yes, a lite mono version would be a cool thing, the more I think about it, the less I can see my idea working! I am guessing that the modulation is handled by some sort of slow random LFO, and thus there could be no offset on the LFO cycle. Two mono verbs with different size/modulation/color would ...

Warp69, I was wondering if you could describe the differences between the 3 types of diffusion for the CD100? In some early screenshots it looked like they had names such as "thin" etc. So far I am just randomly choosing one and picking another for the opposite channel so things sound thicker, but ...

Jesse, thanks for that link, a lot of great information at that site!
Some further experimentation reveals that you can get an extremely loud signal by placing a cranked BigMuff Pi after your Optimaster. Then you can open this file in Wavelab, etc and use the pen tool to make sure the waveform looks ...

Tape recorders usually have some EQing going on though, with a pre-emphasis stage at the record head and then another curve to correct it at playback. I think this is for noise/hiss reduction, but I am certainly no expert with tape. I guess the EQ pre-emphasis curve also pushes certain frequency ...
