and I have forgot how to work with Scope.

End of 2009 I've asked SC support how long I have to wait for 64Bit drivers, and I got an estimated announcement of 1 or 2 month. They told me, that beta software still exists an they think of a release in feb 2010. All my new computers goes to 64bit OS ...

Interestingly, I sent an email to them just to see if they will shed any light on the release.

I got this reply today:

Hi Daniel,

we have only the internal beta with ASIO working, but
no WAVE, Sampler, VDAT and some other driver related things.

even though digidesign is in fact the arch enemy of the Creamware scope platform

enemies? hm, i think not. Both are competitors in the world of dsp driven platforms. And btw, Creamware is not really comparable to Digidesign.
Maybe their products, ProTools-HD and Scope can be comparedt a little ...

Hello,

on my mobile computer I have an M-Audio USB audio device with M-Powered Pro-Tools sequencersoftware, which I really like.
I can connect this usb audio device also to my desktop computer which have scope in it.
But, with the M-Powererd Pro-Tools Software I can't take use scope, this seems ...

First let me explain, that I don't want any hot discussion here.
But on the other hand, I see no reason why people should not discuss about the future of the company and about news like an insolvency.

I don't know how such thing handled in other countries, but in Germany insolvency isn't a secret ...

I found an report about the opening of an insolvency proceeding regarding the german Creamware Audio GmbH.

Anyone have news about a new insolvency of creamware?

Here's what I found. Sorry it's in german only and I'n not able to translate this.

To a few things I would like to take position.

You must imagine Scope more like an hardware instead software. If U had buy i.e. a Korg Wavestation EX in 1990, do U now think that is obsolete??? And a hardware LA2A compressor? I think not so...

The biggest problems on encoding surround formats on scope are not any fees. Licence fees can be paid.

The most biggest problem is, that it's absolutely impossible to encode 5.1 surround format in realtime with the power of the sharc dsp processors.

Not even Nuendo with the DTS-Encoder is capable ...
