i just got married, moved, bought a car, and should have dsl at the house in the next week. also got a digital camera, so everybody better start runnin...
Dual intel are quite a bit more since they are built for the mid-highend server market. XEONs carry a bit of a premium, but they are quite a slick setup.
Dual amd's make a bit more sense, and the AMD760MP/X boards are pretty solid. I know CW themselves have tested on them, too, as Rembert/CW has ...
I'd wait just a bit for an nForce2 board or go with the ASUS nForce1 boards already out... make sure when you get the motherboard, you flash the BIOS to the newest version.
I think Spirit hit the nail on the head - and that's the basis of my thoughts that a "new" card wouldn't be all that much different than current cards... if it is even a necessary thing at all (I really don't see too many advantages or things to improve with my system).
The hourglass cursor is just a visual bug. Creamware, if you're reading this, I mentioned this months ago, it should be a very easy fix... That said, its just a visual thing, you can continue connecting wires even when the cursor shows this hourglass.
I used to use these replacement cursors, which ...
XP comes rather bloated. You'll get a fairly noticable speed improvement, for example, when you turn off System Restore.
I hope for your sake, you didn't get any P4 less than 2.0Ghz. P4s really come into their own at 2.0Ghz and higher (I am running a P4 1.8ghz right now, and it performs about the ...

I also have 2 a16 Ultras, and they are quiter than the Yamaha 01v/03d and Spirit 328 digital mixers... quieter than the Alesis AI3. Not sure about all these people with noise problems, but you might check your cables and the +4/-10 dipswitches on the back to be sure it ...
Timeworks plugins were recently updated for free for existing users to work with SFP. So I think it's as not as unsafe as mentioned. Although you should also take a really good look at the EarlyFirst reverbs, I really like their sound (PT_96Kfree is the newest uncrippled free one, the big ones sound ...
Check CSET.INI file for a removable disk (a:/b: floppy, your CDROM, etc)...
If your project referenced ie: Sampler programs off a CDROM that isn't in the drive, I suppose that could cause this too. Suggestion in that case is to copy your Sampler programs to your HD (and reload them from there in ...
Perfect amount (IMHO) is PowerPulsar (15 DSP). Enough you dont have to think about limits if you're reasonable with assigning voices to your synths, room to stretch out, room to grow... If I had the money at the beginning, I would have just bought a PowerPulsar+A16 Ultra straight off, would have ...
ACPI mode is fine if you don't have any problems with it, but if you do run into problems Standard Mode often fixes them.. depends on what hardware you have.
