Thanks again chaps,

Yeah I think I'll leave the merger and go for the midi interface/patchbay as that will also give more options later on if and when I need (can afford) to get some more outboard :)

Cheers for all the advice.

Hiya, My matrix 6r is 3u rack space. I guess one of the SEM stickers would fit perfectly. And thanks for that, most appreciated. I originally got a few bits of outboard gear after reading some or your threads and some other guys on here who use hardware to supplement and compliment the Scope devices...

Thanks for the replies. I guess getting another Midi interface/patchbay is the way to go then. I think I'll get the Unitor 8 MKII as that has some other features that might come in handy too, and can cascade together with the AMT8 to give double the io's

Thanks chaps

Second Midi Interface or a Midi Merge Unit ?

I have recently upgraded my studio and aquired some hardware synths and fx units to complement my Scope system. I obviously needed a midi interface to run this outboard gear and ended up getting an AMT8 which works great. I was able to give most synths and fx units both a Midi In and Out port direct...

Thanks for the replies garyb and astroman. I haven't tried a proper 'fake' test yet although I have run the signal in and out a couple of times and it sounded fine. But I guess if the signal is being sent back and forth between the A16U and the outboard gear more than a few times it is bound to affe...

check out doubledawg http://www.mark-knutson.com http://www.mark-knutson.com/t3/dawguse.html Basically it allows you to set the PCI latency of each and any of your pci cards, in this case you would want to increase the pci latency for your scope cards, such that it gives more cycle time to them. You...

Advice requested on Purchasing a second A16U or a patchbay

I have a pulsar with plus plate, a scope with plus place and a scope with z-link plate. I also have an A16U but recently have bought some more outboard fx units and a few analog synths, but have run out out inputs on the A16U and the other analog ins on the scope plates. I was therefore thinking abo...

Hi tomylee. I am very interested in the syncplate, but just to confirm, the syncplate is the plate with BNC wordclock connector, correct? if you are selling that seperately from the 15 dsp and the 6 dsp card, could you let me know, and if so how much. Thanks.

Just to say thanks so much for the info. I contacted the guy who I bought the A16u from and he had another look for the transformer, found it amongst all the gabling behind his racks and sent it over to me. All my issues have been solved and the A16U is running perfectly. No more strange LED problem...

Thanks Gary, I just saw your message after I posted, so sorry about that. So, the adpater need to be AC out as well, and obviously 2.5A is alot more than the 1.2 on this adapter, so that could well be what is causing me problems with this. I spoke to Ralf this afternoon, and briefly mentioned the ad...

Thanks Kylie. I need to get an official adapter, as I am having all sorts of problems trying to figure out whether my A16 Ultra analog outputs are working properly or not. The inputs seem to be working ok, although a bit on the quiet side, but the analog output seemvery quiet, and when I try to incr...

A16 ultra power adapter specs

Hi all, Could someone tell me the specs of the A16Ultra Power adapter. I bought my A16 Ultra second hand but the power adapter is not the original and I am wondering if this mightbe causing a few issues I am having with the analog audio outputs, slow sync to scope cards on power on, etc. I know the ...

Thanks for the info stardust, yeah it was worth reading about, but I think for the money, the amt8 is still the way to go for me, even without future support. Thanks anyway though. :)

I think I have answered my own question. After checking on planetz I have decided to go with the advice from here and my friends advice too and get the AMT8. Even though its discontinued it will do its job, and apparently very well.
But any other advice on this would still be appreciated :)

Midi Interface

Hi, Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but anyway. I need to get a midi interface 8in 8 out, and was advised by one friend to get the Emagic AMT-8, but thought I would just get some second opinions while I am waiting to bid on one. Two other choices were the Midiman (M-Audio) Midispor...
