Algorhythm, I totally agree with you. This discussion should not be held in the T&T! Therefor I take the liberty to post the question here at the General Pulsar Discussion... Okay ppl: The question was how to use the MIDI section in Samplitude 2496 (version 5.whatever). The Help function ...

Well, UK is cheap indeed, Germany has a lot of stores that are cheaper as well. I've compared prices and I must say that here in the Netherlands, everything is far more expensive compared to other EU countries! Strange, because p.e. the British taxconstruction is based on low(ish) income tax a...

Hi Pulsarians!

I've found a nice little booklet about mastering on the TC Electronic website:
http://www.tcelectronic.com/files/static/bobkatz.pdf
It originates from the TC Finalizer but who gives a rat's @rse? 8D

Hope this'll help us a bit further...

Hi! I totally agree with you! Don't rely on the Puslar system only. Besides my Pulsar 1, I use a JD-800, a Nordlead 1, a SY-99 for synths and a TC Electronic M-one and an Ensoniq DP-2 as FX units. I must say: both the M-one and DP-2 still outdo the Pulsar FX in creativity as well in depth and warmth...

Hi there, Sorry for the intrusion but I have a rather specific question: Anyone familiar with Jean-Michel Jarre's album Chronologie? The overture of Chronologie 1 has a lead string which was created on the Jupiter. I'm really in love with that sound. Since the Saturn is a good replica of the Jupiter...

Hi, I'm sorry to disagree on excluding the BixMixer from usage during recording. Since I'm not satisfied with the layout, latency and way of operation of Cakewalk's mixer, I only use the BixMixer of the Pulsar. Right now I'm recording the movements I make with the BixMixer in Cakewalk. Works fine wi...

Nope the AI-3 is as quiet as a mouse!

As for the conversion of the AI-3: dunno, will have to dive deeper into that.

Hi, Regarding these sequencers: It just depends on what your personal preferences are. Ppl that start with Cubase are used to that program and do not want anything else, the same usually goes for the Cakewalk and Logic users. There I've mentioned the three most widely used sequencers. They all have ...

Crackels? Crackles!? :?

I use Cakewalk 3, Cakewalk Audio 8 Pro, Samplitude 24/96 and Cool Edit Pro alltogether but I've never encountered crackles! I've got the Pulsar 1, BTW.

The only crackles I hear when the input in my ADDA converter is too loud

Hi! I've encountered the same problem. I made some kind of workaround: I created two different users in Windows, 1 for Internet and 1 for Studio activities. On the Internet user, I do not wish to load the Pulsar, so I used TweakAll (available @ http://www.shareware.com) in order to prevent the Pulsa...

If I were you, I'd forget the A16.

An Alesis AI-3 is a far better device and a lot cheaper as well! 24 bit / 96 KHz, 8 balanced I/O, ADAT fiber connections.

I bought mine (new) for 770 Euro...
