They stand out. I'd say that Pro One, Pro Wave, and Solaris are up there with Minimax, Pro-12, and Prodyssey as being must-haves for any Scope user. I really love Pro Wave.

Medway did some great tests some years ago where he compared the VinCo to his 160SL. The results were incredibly close & he sold the 160SL soon after.

As you can imagine, a real 160SL doesn't sound or react like an 1176LN does so it's no surprise that the VinCo doesn't sound or react like the UAD-1 ...

Creamware charges a lot for those plates, unfortunately, so, as everyone else said, it's better just to add an additional card. You'll get the Synths 'n Sampler pack free when you buy a new card, not to mention a free upgrade to 4.5 along with it.

Tom is correct. FYI, if you do decide to remove the 3 chip card, you'll need to have your plug-ins transferred by Creamware. There is a plug-in transfer fee, though it is not so bad when you're doing them all at once (one-by-one is pretty pricey, unfortunately).
