Yes, I was very surprised when I saw it. Aither I must have been blind 4 a long time, or they added it in 4.1. It's something of which I never understood why it wasn't there in the first place... I'm still unhappy about the "stepping" though - one higher in MIDI gets you a .3 dB jump. I gu...

I discovered something even better in Cubase 4.1.2 yesterday : When creating automation lanes, there now also is an "All CCs" subtree, which contains every CC straight away. No need for any plugins anymore...

Not sure when they put this in, but I can't remember seeing it in 4.0.

Sharc, this is absolutely fantastic stuff !! Do you think it would work with the faders too ? Now if only there would be a standalone Scope module which could provide the same amount of control for the Scope synths. But I guess this may technically unfeasible - there probably isn't a 14 bit input in...

Any chance I could get a copy too ? I still have all my limbs and organs available for trade !!

Doing the SDK quickstart I also spent quite some time looking for it, then scouring PlanetZ...

BTW is it normal that the Quickstart ends that abruptly ? Loox very unfinished to me...

Sounds good, but I think the Asus Prob utility I have (which matches nicely with my Asus mobo :) ) does already a good job of monitoring Fan speed, Temperatures and Voltages. My problem was more how to interpret the voltage graph - what kind of fluctuations are acceptable, and what kind should set t...

Thanx for the quick reply ! It is supposed to be a high-quality, low-noise power supply. A friend of mine hand-picked the components, and he was very well informed... He's a sound engineer, and he knew all about the requirements for PCs when it comes to making music. So I'll stick with it for now. A...

Power Supply Requirements ??

Hi All ! I recently installed a Scope Pro (15DSP) as a third card, next to 2 Pulsar2s (2x6DSP). I'm getting a bit worried about whether my power supply is adequate, especially since I will be adding a second internal HD soon ? The current Power Supply is good for 320W or so. The rest of the setup, r...

Adding a Board to an existing installation

Hi All ! I recently installed my shiny new (actually shiny second-hand or probably even third-hand) Scope Pro next to my 2 Pulsar2s, and since it took me some time to piece together the info from the manual + different PlanetZ threads, I thought it might be useful to summarize some of the info here....

I hadn't thought of installing my entire Scope install on the other disk... If that is a safe operation (I will zip the old install from C: for backup) then I guess that would be better. Are there any reasons (e.g. performance) why using the C:-drive would be better than using another one ? Or is it...

Thanx for the quick reply !! I have set up the RefResolver to point to the new directories, but I was mostly looking for a solution for the right-click context menu issue... I wasn't aware though that I could use the file browser - which isn't the nicest solution but at least it permits me to use in...

Issue when moving Devices

Hi, In order to free up some space on my C: (due to a bad decision long time ago when partitioning :( ) I wanted to move my devices to another partition. Did that, and updated the "Directories" settings in the live bar. As far as the live bar is concerned - no problemo, it worked fine, I s...

Any of the Sequencers left ?? If you have any tips on using the KS 88 Pro with Scope, I'd be very interested in hearing them :D I am especially interested in figuring out what the best way is to control synths or devices with > 60 params (which is the number of controls on the KS) - I was thinking o...

There is an "Instrument" Button - you need to press one of the Shift keys and one other key together - I think it's the button you use to get to the effects. Then you go into VST control mode. In the first screen (which displays the name of the currently selected VSTi), the top left rotary...

Hi, Just to be sure : you have to select the Mackie emulation mode for Cubase when you start up your BCFfor all of this to work. Read the BCF documentation for how to do this. You also need to start the BCFView app before you start Cubase. So to explain this a bit more : The point is that all VSTi c...

BCF2000 - Mackie Mode & Cubase Trick

I was looking for some time into the issue of how to control my CW stuff with the BCF when it's set in Mackie emulation mode (which is *absolutely* brilliant BTW, it is much much more powerful than the standard BCF mode when working with Cubase - it takes a bit of figuring out but once you get it it...

Yes it was :D It was done piecemeal though, generally shortly after I bought the device in question, which happened over time. And the "smaller synths" which you get automatically with Scope don't have that many presets anyway. Mind you, you can optimize the effort - first get Cubase to cr...

This should work with all versions of SX as well as with Cubase 4... The XML format they use hasn't changed AFAIK.

CW & Cubase - What configuration makes most sense ?

Hi, Recently I've been wondering if the way I have configured the CW setup and Cubase is sensible... The way it is set up now, is as follows : * External synths, mic etc., coming in from an AD converter through ADAT or straight from the synth through SPDIF, are routed to the CW Mixer * A couple of A...
