I want to unistall my Pulsar and remove all traces of it's presence before a rebuild - do I unistall first or remove the card and unistall hardware/software once the PCI slot is empty ?

Thanks - I now understand my problem, I'm not (nor will be) using my pulsar card as my asio driver in cubase - so no XTC mode - BOOOOOOOH!

Very interesting posts - I'm new to the pulsar platform (from the UK). I paint my cc's in SX it seems easier (I even do it with hardware synths like the Virus)My issue are :

I also notice the standard prophet has gone - I suspect this is the next to appear as a creamware only product?

Thanks - I now understand that the synths do not have "assigned" cc's - like most soft synths. So need to be assigned prior to drawing the cc info into SX.
Any suggestions on syncing arps other than "by hand" and quatise in SX?

Thanks, is there an easy way to find out what cc are used for each synth parametor or should I just re-assign them. If I do this I suspect they will not be remebered. EG 40 is the cc for cutoff on my virus and I remember that easly for drawing in controller as suggested?

Yup I'm having some problems with the Remote under USB - I'm going to test with batteries and a midi lead tommorow - I'll let you know how it goes.

Another thought has occured to me about trying to use XTC mode - can I assume that because my host SX sytem uses a delta 1010 as it's asio driver, that XTC mode will not work, because the asio driver in my host is not the Pulsar ?

A couple of questions - I'm having a lot of teething problems with my new pulsar II.
1) Instand alone mode (non xtc mode) everything works ok - but when I write cc data to SX by moving the contols on the synth, cubase records but it is not the correct cc data eg cutoff?

Simple - can I have a XTX project that I load and it works with SX. I didn't spend a day friggin around to get my UAD card to get it working!

You've kinda answered your own question -real strings require real strings - garitian etc won't disapoint - they are real samples, well recorded that sit like real strings.
