Ah ok , thnx Bud
I'll check out the USB Audio option.
So the empty registry box is fine anyway or should all device keys be showing?
Cheers , Michael

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Thanks Budweiser. Yes the From and To are in the Control Bar next to the Single / Multi box . There are no more yellow warnings in the XP device manager , so all drivers are in now . The usb "light" is on in the editor but not on the Noah (.? ) Pretty sure I haven't wiped any device keys b...

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Actually , even though I was sending midi to it and assigning various synths to Noah mixer channels and hearing those back in Scope and playing with various synths controls ...the drivers were still not installed ( ?? ) and I assumed they were because I was controlling the synths from the editor.. (...

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Hi Budweiser , Noah is set to Windows I set XP Driver Signing to "Ignore" , set as Default , Rebooted and tried again . XP finds the Noah . I selected "Install From Removable Media" I can then see/hear the CDR searching the Noah disc. But I'm still getting "The wizard cannot...

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
....seems like something in XP is blocking 3rd party driver insts.
Could that be it?
You mentioned something about the equivalent of Driver Signing?
Windows Firewall maybe ?!

Hey it's Fixed !!
Thanks so much Budweiser , Valis and GaryB
I swapped in a spare 500 watt ATX .
The old one I removed was 250 watts ATX so there's a bit of power headroom now also .
Cheers , Michael

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
I have a spare 500 Watt ATX PSU that was running an asus z89 ( I think ? ) mobo that had 3 Scope PCI cards .
I noticed the Noah PSU has similar bundled power leads / connectors
Will give it a try ....
This Noah issue actually does seem like a faulty PSU .

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Thnx Budweiser....well possibly. What worries me is that the display is working perfectly at power up ..and Loading system ....buta few seconds later it then it becomes scrambled and unreadable. So the LCD is actually fine. It's either some sort of sudden voltage drop ..( but the display doesn't get...

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
One final idea ....!!
Isn't there a company which repairs Scope PCI cards ?
Perhaps I could send them a video of the Noah display starting up normally then becoming scrambled.
They might be familiar with that and could give me some clue ..??

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Yes did that , nothing seemed abnormal. I think yr right though, it's probably an old capacitor in there somewhere.... Hey the guys that do the Scope card reconditioning....I wonder if they could look at this ? This would be something for the original owner though because I'm sending it back ...too ...

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Well I opened the unit . No evidence of any loose ribbon cables . And the screen is still scrambled, meaning it's effectively a dead unit for me since I need to see those buttons for software setup . Grrrr I wish I could find any of the original Creamware guys who might be able to give some clue abo...

Re: NOAH Screen scrambled
Thanks Gary and Budweiser will look at those .
There's obviously some software problem causing the scrambled display because it works fine up until loading the system...so it's obviously not a loose ribbon cable etc inside...
