One very important thing that solved my freezes was a midi filter, where I disabled ACTIVE SENSING.

You got the freezes when Scope is running? Or without any DAW running?

A friend of mine was so nice to give me his old Pulsar2 Card (6DSP) for free!!

Do I need the keys of a Pulsar2 card if I exchange it with a Luna2 in my 3 Card set in an existing installation.

I'm still satisfied with my 3 PCI Cards. Enough for making 20 Audio and 20 Midi Tracks running seperately. without any glitches.

I´m just helping a friend of mine preparing an DAW.
I wonder which audio interface I should recoomend to him. USB/PCI or firewire or maybe even PCI.

He is bassplayer and wants to spent maybe 150 € for the interface! Most usage is play along and record for error correction.

We master through cubase. Send the MIX of your SCOPE to a RECORDBUS and record in cubase a normal AUDIO Track. But you have to disable the listinig Channel you route the signal of this audio track to in SCOPE:

I HAD CRACKLE PROBLEMS WITH RAID SYSTEM ON 965P CHIPSET!!!!

Raid Sucks!!

Don`t use the intel / onboard Raid Controller.


You are totally fine with AHCI Mode for you SATA drives.

I had problems with the raid 5 as well and after installing the Hard Disks in normal AHCI-Mode everything went fine.

I Have the ASUS P5B-Deluxe and the E6600 with 2GB Ram.

No I used the intel drivers. The Jmicron did not allow Raid 5.

So finally I start my cubase in Normal Priority and It works, when I start in it in High it's even better.

OK - Whem I and play 15 VSTi and record 10 Audio Tracks or I load 3 Stylus RMX and 3 EZ-Drummer and use 10 10 Plugs it gets bad ...

SOLVED!!!

After deleting the raid everything is fine.

Lot of work to find out but ..... maybe it was worth to it for others who want to buid a RAIS with intel 965P
