Hi Royston

I formatted the the drive using XP as my boot disc (cd)

I do not think the system is picking up my pulsar, even when I change the PCI slot.

Would you have any other ideas

Hi all, I would be grateful for some help with a problem I have run up against!!!

I currently run a pulsar with cubase and a Yamaha 01V96, but I cannot seem to get my midi keyboard to access synths hard or soft.

I am running the keyboard through a midiman 4x4 along with a virus(which is working ...

I want to add effects from the yamaha 01v live on my virus (midi 1-16 if possible) tracks, but if i do not think my virus melody works I want to be able change it. This is more hassle if I have already converted my virus track to audio tracks. Does this make sense to you?

Hi Nprime, I want to route midi tracks to my 01v as it has better effects than the native ones on my system. I want to edit midi through my 01v with live effects.

Basically, I find it easier to find a good sound (with effects) on my virus, playing live.

Hi, again. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can route midi tracks without the help of an AD/DA converter or MY8DA96.

If I need one of these, how are they connected/routed?

I did think of the MY8AT96, but, do I not need two to get 16 channels? This would cost £600, which I dont really have at the moment.

I was wondering if some-one could answer a couple of questions for me.

I am thinking of buying an old A16:

(a) can I route 8-16 individual midi tracks from Pulsar through Cubase and onto individual tracks within the 01V for further processing?

If not, do I need to record the midi to ...

What would be a good price for an old A16 and what would be a maximum I should pay?

How would this connect to my my puslar/Yamaha without the Z link? Would it be optical?
(Am I right in thinking the Z link is firewire)?

I have a Yamaha 01v96, but thought about about an adat card for the Yamaha, but the A16 might work out cheaper. What would you say?

Hi, just a quick question, how many versions of the A16 have been released? I am thinking of buying one second hand and do not want caught out with a high price?

Yeah, it is the soundcard input. I changed mixers, leads, decks, to no avail.
