When I deinstall that Sampler, everythings working fine :) With it, STS problem
" low memory" occur!
the phenomenon is called memory leak and usually associated with bad programming style...
well, what else would you expect from that company... ? :P ...

i did a search for "low memory" on the sts forum and found this thread:

I have faith in it, but sharing the RAM w/ STS and Nuendo could be trouble.

Sorry but I dont understand this RAM sharing things (STS-Nuendo) :-?
Do I missing something :( ? How can I solve this???

When you have DuoCore2,P5B,2gb ram etc...and you receive "Low Memory"
from STS,.........................that is quite bad :-?

Dont have to toomany mood for work anymore, somebody hates meee :evil:

Hi, me again!
Hmmmmmm my luck wasnt so persistent :(

After a few days of glory problems started again! :cry:

Sys is very unstabile,Nuendo3 goes down 2-3 times in a couple hours,
STS4000 shows "LOW MEMORY" after 3-4 loads of sample programs.
What I notise, without NUENDO switching on, STS ...

Everything works splendid :) at least so far!

Really big,big difference from P4-2,55gHz.
Many plugins are in the game now almost without limitation :D (joke) ,URS,,Waves,Oxford etc,etc, I'm so ...

Hi Guru's!

The problem is arranged :)

After hours of agony, I just reconnect MAXTOR HDD from SATA port 1 to SATA port 3 and everything works splendidly :D .

Seems that >>>>the biggest problems = always simple solution :)

what bios settings for your sata drives did you use? can't you enable dma in the device manager?

Hmmm, well that is a problem we have, everything seems to be correct but actually it is not!

In Device Manager it shows DMA enabled, and in Bios you can't switch off
PIO mode(you can choose auto,0,1 ...

As I can see on the net, there are lot of Asus P5Bxxx users that have very similar problem with SATA hdd's!

I think that AndreD was the first one who assemble AudioPC with P5Bxx and
it was very successfully built ...

Hi guru's, I'm back!

Seems that I have some Asus P5B issues(PIO,DMA)

The first SATA HDD C: (MAXTOR250gb) is very,very sloooow.(transfer rate 4,9MB/s)
The second one SATA HDD(SEAGATE500gb) working normally (transfer rate 58MB/s)
When I transfer data from MAXTOR to SEAGATE it goes very fast but from ...
