Also, by the way, normal pitch bending is not an issue for me - but I have noticed it related to the G2 pitch stick. Since it is on a pivot that allows it to waiver back in forth very quickly if you grab it and let it spring, it is sending way more MIDI data than what would normally be associated wi...

I have this issue in XTC mode. The CPU usage is not very high when it happens. The strange thing is that it seems to be related the the Scope synth rather than the midi modules because it only appears when controlling a Scope synth, such as Minimax. I do not run into the issue when controlling softw...

I got a m65 and pulsar2 working in the docking station, however i have a lot of crashes. The docking station doesn't provide much cooling, only a (6'') fan... that i also had to take out before the card fitted in the dock. So my guess is that heat causes the freeze-ups. I am trying to design an ext...

Hmm - I wonder it this will ever change as the Firewire interface gets faster (Firewire 800 for example must be able to do a bit better than 400)?

If it only adds 2-3ms like they state - and the reviews confirm - then I think it is viable. Many software plugins can add this amount of delay. One of the reviews stated that the latency is better than other DSP plugin options available (I am guessing the reviewer was referring to PowerCore Firewir...

What do you think of this? Focusrite Firewire DSP Effects

http://www.focusrite.com/product/liquid_mix/ They claim it only addes 2 - 3 ms of delay to send audio back and forth through Firewire to be processed. The EQs/Compressors run as VST/AU/RTAS plugins. And it has a hands on hardware control surface. (And by the way, it will be both XP and OSX compatibl...

Is My Page working for anyone?

I haven't been able to get into the My Page on the Creamware web site. I have been trying for several days now.

As long as it had a large library of really good constructions/presets, then I think there would still be a lot of interest. There are people who would be interested in the flexibility of sound a system like this could provide without ever really wanting to dive into the construction aspect (I think...

If the modeling for these amps is as good as they are stating, I am surprised they are not releasing an ASB (many guitarist would not want to deal with a full SFP system - but I bet they would be very interested in superior modeling in a hardware box).

Also, while checking out Tassman, you may also want to take a listen to StringStudio (i hate to sound like a commercial for AAS, but I do really love their instruments).

Here's one example, in case you are interested:

In my opinion - there is no comparison in sound between Tassman and Reaktor. Tassman is on a totally different level to my ears - and there is a focus on physical modeling which brings some unique characteristics. I will say that Tassman does not have the same depth and flexibility as Reaktor - but ...

Don't take offense, but in my opinion, Reaktor seems kind of gimmicky. I really have a hard time with it musically. I find the Tassman Modular much more musical and unique - more subtle and expressive. Also, I am growing very tired with a lot of the electronic music that continues to go down the so-...

A more worthwhile comparison is the entire line of Applied Acoustic Systems VST instruments (e.g., Tassman Modular, StringStudio, LoungeLizard). They are absolutely excellent as far as sound and playability. They feel like true instruments to me. Although, they do hit your CPU hard.
