Despite everything that's been said about Emagic discontinuing Logic on the PC, version 5.5 has just been released for both.

I'm not arguing that Emagics withdrawl from the PC platform sucks. Well all know it does. BIG TIME.

I can't even see the sense in it - 70,000 users, or 35% of a products installation base, represents a HUGE drop in market share. It's almost incomprehensible.

I'm not surpised that Apple brought Emagic. Bloody sensible move. Apple did the same thing with Final Cut Pro, and look at the results. It's not cheap, but it works flawlessly, and it is cheaper than the competitors.

Apple hardware rocks - you get what you pay for.
