Re: Huge acoustic drumkit, free for planet-z
Still use this kit. Pretty awesome, though I sometimes miss some more accentuations or multiple hits per velocity later. Like, there is only one ride crash sound. Would be cool to be able to do some really trashy stuff, but I suppose there is no end to this?

I would never have guessed that, but sometimes projects do get corrupted and rebuilding them is the only solution.
Hey, cool. What club?
I don't do much clubing myself. More of a pub person, but one never knows .

Re: Cant route main mix in Cubase to Adat out - Please help...
I notice you use different ASIO drivers for your means of operation, but that should make no difference.
The driver is obviously passing audio.
Are you sure the ADA8000 is hooked up correctly? Input, output, clock etc. Is it locking to Pulsar master clock?

Ooops what?
I run a pretty similar setup and no problems here. I use REAPER though.
Does outputs 3L and 3R work? Like when recording the mixdown?

Ok, the non-XTC project you posted works?
You know how to operate the ADA8000?

XTC v5 works much better in terms of stability. I can't remember any PCI overflows or DSP errors since I upgraded.

Re: POD Pro for dynatube
There should be a keyfile in the "bin" directory. Also a registry file (pre v5). The oxe system doesn't work any more. If you have lost your old keys or can't figure how to find them again then I am afraid I can't help you. In the early days I used to write them down in the user manual. Ma...

Re: POD Pro for dynatube
v5 does not use the same keys as the earlier versions, so you have to send your old Dynatube keys to S|C and get the new ones.

I like to use that old, free SpaceF Dragon device as a drive/compressor for Dynatube.

Re: Painful transition to Reaper and v5
The GUI bug has been around for ages. Perhaps S|C will pay attention to it when everything is up to code. Some times I even disable the GUI for a particular plug in REAPER just because the respons can get really bad. MIDI IO must be enabled after start-up of the host application. This is an old bug....

Re: XTC clips audio, internal processing, asio drivers
Yes, gain-staging in and out of Scope matters. Scope calculates with 32-bit integer which means there is no scaling like with floating point math. It really depends on the plug-in. Some plug-ins like LeviL DeviL and Vinco can take some boosted levels in the VST domain to have them operate differentl...

It is very forward sounding and can completely annihilate transients. Very usefull.
I've put it on vocals, kick and snare.

Yeah, I know. I first grabbed the mda TestTone. Blasted -60dB of pink noise through it, hehe. Couldn't really hear it though. I am using the GNormal plugin now.

Open your XTCproject.pro in normal mode and put some ASIO drivers in there (from the hardware drop-down menu). See what happens.

Re: Possible upgrade help
... depending on how you work. if your old system was basically powerful enough, maybe just a little bit lacking, then a core2 duo or quad based machine would be really inexpensive and a MAJOR upgrade. in that case, the dp35dp motherboard by intel is still the one to get. Thanks for chiming in Gary...
