Built a SCOPE v7 on AAEON IMBA-H110A, 2 x SCOPE PCI boards and a LUNA, 32GB RAM, i770k @ 4.5GHz.
Seems OK so far.
Still the same buggy VDAT mind you. Never used to work on SCOPE v4 on XP either.
And the Sync IO card is not recognised, have yet to troubleshoot that...

Re: VDAT on Windows 10x64
Often got a BSOD with VDAT on Scope 4 and also 4.5 on XP, got it to load once or twice but it never recorded without crashing.
Built completely new system, Scope v7 + Windows 10x64 - getting BSOD all the time when loading VDAT or VDATx64.
It's never ever worked for me.

Re: z-link
Hi people. I emailed Sonic Core tech support as suggested, and got this reply. it is not possible to connect TDM with XTDM, but what we can do, is to build an additional outboard unit which converts the XTDM into 4 ADAT IOs. This would mean you have 70 IOs. This is already in discussion. What do thi...
Re: z-link
I don't suppose 1 of the 4 or 5 TDM connectors on the top edge of my SCOPE Professional card could be wired via ribbon cable terminated with a 25-pin d-sub and plugged into the XTDM of the xite-1? I think that's how multiple SCOPE cards 'talk' to each other. Maybe just a dumb idea - I'm just not sur...

At least your A16 shows something. Mine was in my rack for 6 years happily sending audio to my desk, when I decided to save the planet one night, and turn it off. Next morning, it flashed it's led's briefly on startup before doing it's power-up sequence, as it normally does, and then died. PSU not a...

So INTEL D875PBZ motherboard it is then. Looks like the Carillon ultra-quiet rack-mount audio PC's come fitted with these little beauties anyway, so that's another endorsement. And it seems my supplier also uses this MB as the demo board of choice for their SCOPE cards. I've given up trying to find ...

Would anybody care to take the challenge of writing an AutoTune or Intonator equivalent for the SCOPE Fusion Platform? Call it the PitchFinder if you will. It doesn't need bells and whistles. For live sound, one only ever uses the chromatic scale so additional scales and tunings will be unnecesary. ...

Thanks for the advice people. Another Q: If I wanted something even smaller (avoiding laptops for the moment) does anybody know how the micro-ATX boards behave compared with their larger ATX counterparts? Specifically, the Asus P4P800-VM (Intel 865G chipset). It has 3 PCI slots and AGP port and supp...
The old SCSI vs IDE battle. I've done both. Without changing any other hardware whatsover, and running with a single SCOPE /SP card, LAN and USB enabled. SCSI: External - rack-mount array with 2 X 36GB HP 10,000 rpm drives for audio (striped), and another 2 X 18GB (mirrored) array for boot/system/ap...

I too use a P4PE, with 2.53GHz P4 and 1GB RAM. I had numerous PCI bus overflows (only 15 DSP's) UNTIL I removed my SCSI Raid card and switched to the bus-mastered onboard IDE controllers with a couple of dedicated 80GB drives for audio. And the pocket is better off as a result. I also have USB enabl...

I love the Vinco too. RMS or Peak Detection: Just wondering, what setting is most appropriate for which type of material? All the presets tend to use RMS which sounds very natural, but now again the Peak setting seams to work better on indiividual drum tracks, but at other times completly destroys t...

Speaking of taking time to read the posts, nothing compares with trying to submit a post at the new Creamware forum. Sometimes it's so slow the company firewall times the IP connection out. Perhaps we should encourage Creamware staff to instead browse and post here at Planet-Z. They might find anoth...

I agree totally with dehuszar. Here's my wish-list for new SFP and NOAH models: 1) A true modelled PLATE reverb 2) Pultec or Oxford EQ 3) E|Piano (Rhodes, Wurli, Clavier) 4) Multiband Distortion 5) Amps|Cabinets (done to death I know) 6) Reed instruments (Oboe, Sax) 7) Harp (a variation on 6-String?...
