Hello All,

Is there somewhere a description of the entries in the cset.ini?

I was looking around in the file for an xtc problem.

I have 3 boards: pulsar 2, pulsar and powersampler.

In scope I see the cards in the right order (pulsar2 pulsar powersampler)

I tweaked the numboards to 3
and than ...

I'm going to try anyway. I'll let you all know.

I'm working on a project, and installing all the vst plugs (and authorise) would take to much time. (I don't think you can just copy de vst plugin folder and scope folder)

I remember that post, but I think there's nothing about system load and quality difference Asio 1 or 2.

Direct monitoring and multiple apps are not necessary now.

Specially the difference in system load is interesting for me now.

I ordered my new computer...

Gigabyte P35 DS4R quadcore.

Does any body know if i just can copy the os and soft to the new system . (and don't have to install plugs etc)

I there a difference in audio quality between asio1 and asio2?

I'm doing the mix of a project and my computer is getting to slow.

XTC mode nuendo.

Latency is not a problem, just decrease the system load.
(will there be a difference between asio 1 and asio2?)

I used XTC successfully in my latest project.
In nuendo (3.2) I can change routing inside the program.

pros:
- total integration in one application
- I can use my motormix controller
- you can use Dx or VST with scope plugs in a normal signal flow (I mean as inserts, sends etc)

cons:
- Much more ...

This should be ok for 24 bit recording?

(I was wondering this because I have the feeling that in higher level peaks my sound is a bit distorted without the notification of clipping on my presonus AD or clipping in the ...

I've read the doc about patching xtc. ( http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21703 )

Does this mean that in NUENDO the devicesetup, asiosettings, contol panel for XTC the 16/24 bit button and the latency settings doesn't work and I have to patch lke mentioned in the document.

Or can ...

I made a cd with a band with the best drummer and bassplayer a ever had in the studio, mr DR-880 from boss :D

spdif to scope, nope... changed cables and bought digital cables. (tried normal, 50 OHM and 75 OHM calbes. I think it should be 75 OHM video coax?)

I had similar problems.

my setup is pulsar II, pulsar I and powersampler (I think it's the same card as luna..)

Do you see disco lights in the samplerate dialog? (the red lights flashing, even at spdif when there is no...)

The problems stopped when touching the stdm cable, I thought.
I cleaned ...

Can someone look at my question of the lost bits when playing to an 24 bit DA converter or playing to an 16 bit convertor?

pops, cracks, lost samplerate, hiss, breaks... I had them all.

First hour no problem, after One hour trouble in paradise...

Cleaned the contact with alcohol (and saw golden contacts again), but no improve in stability.

Bought an MOTU 2408 mkII which was my samplerate masterclock.

no improve ...

just did the test.

I unplugged my motu 2408 which I use as DA convertor.
Plugged the optical cable i may old A16.And without any software changes: SOUND. (I thought the A16 is 16/18 bit. Where are the other bits from my 24 bits signal?)
Nice to hear the different in sound of the motu 2408 MK II ...

I'll check this evening in the studio.

I have an old A16 somewhere and I'll connect him to my sfpsystem.

Just an idea, don't take it as an answer to your question...

Do you have an A16 or A16 ultra?

I think an A16 can't handle 24bit audio on ADAT. (A16 ultra can do)

Maybe you can try to set the bits in cubase to 16 (xtc mode). or use ASIO 16 bit source/dest.
You can still work in cubase in any bit ...

The system is running fine for now, I will do a nuendo test later this evening.

How do you clean the pci contacts (even the stdm contacts) inside the connector. It is so small, what can you put in that can go out again?

Can you explain it a bit more? It's difficult for me to understand what you are saying.
Do you mean the break-out connector on the sub-d (the black bunch of cables) ? This is not connected in my system.

I know that when I connect the audio on the breakout cable I have a lot of noise ...
