I also hate I´m now unable checking out Prodyssey CV and all the latest goodies we lately got,- Styledriver, Loren´s and Dawman´s device/mdl ...

The new V5 compressor is a leveling amplifier - build for ease of use.

Good guess - the XITE preamps actually have SSM 2019 input amplifiers.

Actually they are floating point DSPs
that are also great integer machines.
Basic precision is 32 bit, but can be made much higher easily.

Some of the CW developement hang around here because they're interestest in music.
Others do more than that (e.g. digilogue seems to care about control knobs and faders ).
