Re: Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow
Like I said, have been running stress tests, and cannot find any issue with the board and temps are fine. I cannot see how the CPU temp can be fine while running stress test for 15 minutes but still CPU fan would be the cause of communication error with scope right away on first boot. Same goes with...

Re: Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow
It is not the config or any changes made...like I said it worked yesterday, and has been no changes or updates since then.
I have been running stress tests and checking voltages and temps, and board seems to be working flawlessly.

Re: Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow
I guess I could try installing Scope on the gaming rig I have...but I really would rather not. In your experience does it happen that a motherboard suddenly get reduced PCI bandwidth overnight? But I guess based on your response that you have not heard about an Xite developing this issue suddenly ei...

Re: Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow
Motherboard has been working perfectly with both PCI cards and Xite. No graphics card, and PSU is also only a few weeks old and reported voltages are good. Everything seems normal with the machine otherwise. Bios settings are intact. Seems a bit flakey what I can load. Managed to load two masterverb...

Re: Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow
Tried reducing number of ASIO channels, and it seems that 8 in and 8 out works, but more than that and the message appears. In existing projects that worked fine yesterday I have 14 in 14 out.

Suddenly getting PCI Master Overflow
Recently got a Xite 1-D, and it has been working perfectly for several weeks now, but today when starting, on first boot I got an error message "cannot communicate with Scope hardware" or something to that effect. After rebooting everything seemed fine until I opened the DAW, then I get th...

Re: KrOn - CV/DSP modulator
@Spindrift: I don't have any modulator in the rack, so I don't need an ES6 (which is a CV to ADAT, ie the counterpart of ES3 which is ADAT to CV) For audio I simply use the xlr inputs of xite, with mini jack to xlr cables. I must say I find it very useful to be able to patch back and forth, althoug...

Re: KrOn - CV/DSP modulator
Nice rack! I'm curios, how do you manage without an ES-6? Here is my always changing plan: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1197769 Wanting to keep it no larger than 6U 64HP, and focus on analogue stuff and ability to do a lot of FM modulation as well as pinging, which are the things where i...

Re: Masterverb Test Thread
I'm using Asus Prime B460 with i5 10600k and M.2 NVMe as system drive. With PCi cards I had to run at medium latency to be completely glitch free, Xite I can run at minimal latency without a glitch. Even wave drivers are solid. And while gary is right you will not need the performance of an NVMe dri...

Re: Win 7 64 to Win10
Perhaps some driver is not playing nicely on win 10?
Have you tried DPC latency checker if that points to a particular device?

Re: I would like to buy a Xite from SC
Scope PCI really runs well on old XP 32 bit systems, and STS doesn't work on 64 bit. If you want to use STS a separate computer is the way to go, otherwise you can run both in the same system if you make sure to get a mobo that handles the PCI cards well. I can recommend the ASUS Prime B460, working...

Re: I would like to buy a Xite from SC
If I had Solaris or used STS perhaps I would consider keeping my PCI, but for my purposes it is not worth the mental overhead...have enough routing to do between Scope, Eurorack and Bitwig/Grid :) Also I seem to have quite low DSP demands compared to most users. I mostly use Scope for monophonic mod...

Re: I would like to buy a Xite from SC
Just went from PCI to Xite for a couple of reasons. First of all I had one of my cards died on me last year. This meant I had a little less DSP than I would like, but also made me think about the fact that it is 20 year old cards that might not last forever. Since Scope is central in my setup I figu...

Re: KrOn - CV/DSP modulator
I also lost interest in having a lot of hardware thanks to Scope. I always preferred analouge filters, but the difference was just too small to make it worth the cumbersome workflow of having a hardware setup with mixers etc. Small difference in sound is not worth a big downgrade in workflow for me,...

Re: KrOn - CV/DSP modulator
Precisely, but polarity with a DC signal is only bias really. Even if oscillator would expect 5V bias and go up to 10V, you still have 10 octaves possible from ES-3. In theory you could of course control 20 octaves if there was something pointless like a bipolar +-10V oscillator. I really appreciate...

Re: KrOn - CV/DSP modulator
According to Expert Sleepers ES-3 has "Maximum output voltage: approximately ±10V DC" If you have an unipolar signal and an osc that responds accurately to 1V/Oct that gives 10 octaves. So if you get a range of 3 octaves, either you are not sending the ES-3 a full scale signal, the ES-3 is...

Re: KrOn - CV/DSP modulator
Ok, I have the ES3 and ES6, and no such limit in my system. I can send full range between daw, scope and eurorack and nowhere is it limited to 3 octaves. If the ES-3 cannot give more than 3 octaves it or the oscillator must be faulty.
