I changed the card from slot 5 to slot 2, removed SB, increased PCI bandwith and the noise seems to have gone, touch wood. Many thanks for your input.

With regards to the cables, they are pretty good quality and worked fine with my former computer.

I tried disabling USB and SBLive, but to no avail.
