Just an update. The new version of Muzys supports ASIO and VSTi. Things just got a hell of a lot more interesting. So far it's worked really well with my Pulsar II card. However, you can't select multiple audio outs from within the program. Hopefully this is on the cards for a future release. Muzys ...

Wow! Fantastic idea about the keygroups. I didn't realise that would work for some totally bizarre reason. In fact it should have been obvious when left and right mono can be done this way in separate keygroups. Isn't it terrible when you miss something as obvious as that. DOH! Suddenly the STS5000 ...

Yeah, I was told to avoid USB devices at all cost with the Pulsar setup. I basically ditched my USB Midi interface. I think once I decided to base my whole system around the Pulsar cards I'm just going to follow any advice I can get. I'm yet to experience this PCI overflow error on my system, althou...

Oh actually. Just downloaded the manual from Creamware. Seems like it still only has 4 mono velocity zones. That's a real pity. I'm sure at that price it could provide a bit more than that, especially considering that if you want to keep the samples stereo you have to take up two zones. 2 velocity l...

Hi all, I have a question about the STS samplers for Pulsar. I'm using the STS3000 at the moment and find it very good for a lot of things...of course. However, it seems that there is only the possibility to have a maximum of 4 mono velocity zones. This actually causes a problem when you import an S...

I'm really a newbie with Pulsar II having owned if for only 2 weeks and I haven't even contemplated using the XTC mode. I'm so impressed by the flexibility of this beast I haven't the slightest interest in trying to dumb down it's complexities into the limitations of a VST host. I must admit when I ...

Yeah the ableton live looks like one of those fantastic ideas that basically takes ACID and then turns into into something with far more potential. When you consider what an innovation ACID was that's a pretty neat achievement. It's certainly looks like a great DJ solution. It seems similar to a pro...

Being the person who actually started that Pulsar thread in KVR, I have to say that I was surprised with the strength of some of the attacks against Pulsar from people who obviously didn't know much about it. Some of the things they said scared me a bit because I don't have my Pulsar card yet, but I...

That's a fair enough point I think. When people were laughing that a synth might only get 9 voices I was thinking that I couldn't remember a time when I ever needed 9 voices out of one synth. What use would that be? I'd have a mix completely dominated by one synth! It would sound awful. Sampling voi...

OK, that sounds a bit better I guess. What I'm hoping to do is Use one of the samplers quite extensively. (samples being created elsewhere and then imported) I understand that the sampler is pretty forgiving on the DSP and that sounds promising because I'll be using a lot of them. Other than that, p...

Thought I'd add especially as this is an Australian post. Just purchased a new system around a Pulsar II. Hope it's as fantastic as people say it is. If I do want to expand in the future, what's currently the best option? Luna is there for adding Multi I/O isn't it? Don't know if I'll need that one....

Hi all, I've been using an outdated system with a PII 400Mhz processor and a selection of VSTi with FruityLoops for some time now. I've been frustrated to the maximum as you can probably expect. So I'm getting my music store to construct a new system around a Pulsar II and a Pentium III 1GHz process...
