Because when I wrote some tunes, I had all the volume levels setup and effects plugins being run etc, various stuff etc, and it was setup in a way so that If I ever wanted to record again, I wouldnt have to mess around with levels and all.

Powersampler works fine with the Luna Card. If you buy the Powersampler card you are effectively getting the Luna 2 card with the software. and yes you need a key.
