dawman/gary - Any definitive answer on the outcome of the c236 chipset test? Interested as looking to upgrade the main DAW machine....
Researching this stuff is like getting sucked into a black hole of motherboard specs.....
Have got a 3x PCI only scope +2x UAD1's and weighing up whether to concede UAD1 retirement and push forward with a 3x pci consumer z97 option, or whether I hunt hard & roll the dice on a server board like the asus one.......
Was the pci overload issue associated with the xite?
Whilst I could make something work using a gaming board, am I correct that the server boards theoretically would be more streamlined (for pci performance), rather than money going into bells & whistles/fancy/cool looking boards like the asrock extreme? Or as I have little tech understanding am I off the mark?
