Cool PCIe graphic card?

Hey, there!

I'm still searching for a "new" old PCIe graphic card with two DVI outs. It have to be quiet, cool and Win7 proof. Don't mind active or passive... At the moment I use WinXP, and don't want to change soon, but who knows. This is my board: GIGABYTE_GA-EP45-UD3R http://www.gigabyte.de/products/product ... id=2921#ov

I used Nvidia GT8600 256 MB passive, but it runs @80°C nearby my Scope ;( I tested Nvidia GT8500 256 MB (passive, runs @ 60°C) but have just one DVI (the second one is VGA). Nvidia FX 1800 768 MB is active (with a small fan) but relatively quiet and runs @ 40-50 C° BUT it have just one Dual-DVI. It seems that DVI splitters don't work here - I tested one now. The FX1800 has two Display Ports - but I just want real DVI, not the connectors/adapters/etc ...

Any Ideas?

Is thinking about the passive Nvidia NVS cards... May 440? Get they very warm? Any one is using them?

Cheers, Andreas

The adaptors don't effect the video signal at all, Display Port, DVI, and HDMI are all identical digital signals. So no loss of quality in using them.

Well, the Nvidia NVS 290 takes just 30 Watt, but it runs also at 60+ C°. So this passive graphic card produce enough heat too... ;( So I finally use a DisplayPort-DVI-adapter (@jksuperstar :)) on my Nvidia FX1800 (with fan). Its the coolest solution for me.
