Here's what I just got today.
5 years of using the very fastest stuff was fun.
These are my conclusions.
Any SSD SATA III using the Phison controller is as good as it gets.
M.2 devices using NVMe are not necessary but are fantastic for OS+Apps.
Adonis True Image Clones on Corsair 256 and 512GB USB Sticks are super fast and can finish a gig until you replace the intern drive(s).
RAID is useless as the resources needed for a rebuild kill audio.
Better off rebooting and letting the BOOT ORDER in BIOS find the USB Stick.
These Corsairs are so fast I can stream samples.
Fidelizer for Improving Native Performance ???
Re: Fidelizer for Improving Native Performance ???
Here's the bench on the USB Sticks.
Fast enough for real time streaming and OS+Apps clone is solid too.

Good to know. As usual your school of hard (kn)ocks experience benefits us all.

Here's the sample drive.
Doubt I even use half of this bandwidth.
