working progress multisounds for the upcomming modular synth

Post by jhulk »

i have been creating 32khz wavetables multi sounds using the dsm1 and dss1x which i load up into a t1 for tuning and to see what they sound like

then i dump them and create multisound keymaps for sharcs new multisample sample modules

i have been working on the sound content for a long while now and have started todo some examples on soundcloud

these are tiny files 27 multisounds max for a t1 that fit in 512k

i have been working on a kawai k3/dss1/dsm1/dw8000/m1/t1/01w/trinity/triton/m3/oasis/kronos sample engines

its a 2 layer voice synth its such a good layout that korg has used it time and again in most of there flag ship instruments

so my last stages has been making sample sound sets for it

31 k3 multisounds + loads of user wavetables

i have used the dss1 and the dsm1 for the single cycle creation it has an additive engine of 128 partials which i have to dial in

this is what takes the time

k1 rom set

dss1/dw6000/8000/ms2000 64 dwgs additive wavetables

300 waldorf wave set

vfx rom

t1 rom including the card sets

wavestation rom sets

and many more

here are some example sounds of my fruits tested on an t1 synth

once i have finalized the sounds i will be sending the modular patch to sharc for testing then it will be released

This one is my favourite :

Not a t1 sound (?) but it has some real sonic chomp in it !

thats a transwave

ill be doing some more of them as multisamples loops i sent jimmy v some

it will be done that way until a dsp modular module is created for wavescanning

also dante the t1 is a 24 year old synth 1989

and only had 512k of added pcm playback but its a good synth for trying out the additive multisounds from

the dsm1 sampler which the mighty m1 got most of its samples from

the t is the power house m1 on roids as it has double poly and has an extra 74 multisounds and pcm playback its a great contoller keyboard and has a nice semiweighted keybed

and loads m1 sysex data which there are thousands of patches

korg did the m1 emulation with the t1 sound set and all card sets but no pcm

and it does not sound the same as the real machine close but night and day

its so i can get to hear what the spectrum of the multi sounds are for the modular device that i have been working on the last few months

Oohhh sounds interesting :) I'm already sold at whatever price but it would be icing on the cake if you could manage to squeeze the TG33 waveforms in there ;) Still a LAS/Rompler fan at heart :P

dante im adding the delta sets

as i just picked up a fixer upper recently

it will have 16' and 8' strings

and the 4 squarte wave drawbars 16/8/4/2/noise

i have just been doing various draw bar settings for the single cycle waves from it for the t

i have also done a vp330 8' male and 4' female with and with out ensemble and the string

and i did the eminent310 16' 8' organ strings

and the arpsolina with the contra bass16' viola 8' and violin 4' brass and trumpet

remember these sample sets are being done on the dsm1 12bit sampler im doing them in 24khz and 32khz then sample dumping them to wav file

so that the modular patch will use the sample rates of the original m1 t1 and all the others and there gritty sound

and a lot of the original multisounds only used 1 sample so when they are like this i have also used only one sample which they play slower down the keyboard like the originals
