Pulsar video sync

What possibilities are there to get high resolution video running in sync with audio and midi from a sequencer? Video from sequencers takes too much resources and the quality and sync doesn't satisfy me. If I buy the syncplate can I connect it to my Pulsar 1 or Elektra? What is the price range for SVHS-quality recorders that can be connected to my system?

And what about MTC? Does it work with any MIDI interface? Do the SVHS recorders have MIDI-inputs or what? What is the cost?
